Donnie's just adapting to life without LOG. Needs his top 9 to not get run over defensively. Benson, Greenway, Girgs balance it today. Quinn, Benson, Greenway next year. - Lunaion
Jack Quinn is amazing and will likely score 50 goals next year, I totally agree.
In all seriousness though, I don't mind that balance. |

AKA Pegula is cheap as (frank).
This legitimately shows he couldn’t give two poops about the Buffalo Sabres. - ImThatGuy
Just wait until we see McDermott on the bench, coaching both teams. I wonder what his lines would look like... |

I think Tage/Tuch need a fetcher. Girgs is never going to wow anyone with his talent. However, a great puck retrieval guy seems to be the missing link in that chain. It makes me wonder what they'd be able to accomplish with a guy who can both retrieve the puck and actually distribute it.
That isn't a knock against Girgs either, he's played his best hockey in years since the TDL. - QuinnFan
Absolutely agree
Tage and tuch need a hard worker on their line. A grinder with more skill then zem ideally.
Skinner being hot and cold was able to play that role last season . Tough task considering his size. |

I think he's their best two way forward. They miss that.

Am I sipping the kool-aid by saying his injuries are what made us miss the playoffs? I can't help but think we win a game or two more with him in the mix. |

No lack of ways to think they could win a few more games.
Pretending VO could fill in for Quinn is high on the list.

Isles with a -20 and Craps just got off the -30 snide in goal differential last night. Get those teams out of here. Its an outrage if either of them make it in over the Sabres.
Casey DeSmith likely tonight. Not quite Brian Elliott, but he did shut them out 3 times in a row at one point. |

Carrying 3 goalies again and being wrong on all 3 to start the season is at or near the top of the list
Acquiring a legit backup, waiving/buying out comrie and sending levi right to rochacha is undoubtedly worth 4-6 points |

They tried Benny there early on if I remember correctly. Donny may like him there, he's a real puck hound, so you may be right. |

And be a center. Tage is not a good center. That line could be deadly with a real center that scraps for pucks |

They did. Should be better in year 2. Just leaves you with a Skinner problem.

He's whatever as a 4th liner. No reason to pay Jost 2m and Robinson 1.6m. Wasted money. There's a reason these guys clear waivers. - Lunaion
I said hes fine as the 13th guy. Upgrade over Jost IMO.
Hopefully we are done over paying players by a franking million dollars.

Spent so much time and energy exposing the frauds that are the Detroit Red Wings that the Capitals flew under the radar.
The worst goal differential to make the playoffs in NHL history is -24, the Caps will regress back to the mean soon enough.
Go 9-3-1 down the stretch and take care of business against the Caps x2, Detroit, NJ, and Philly and the drought is over |

Maybe promote cozens before the end of the year?
Tuch cozens tage
Although the Sabres are playing pretty good with their current lineup |

I mean giving Peterka the “Ehlers” treatment doesn’t help.
He’s a bonafide 200 foot stud already, start utilizing him like one. |

A) Find a stop gap top 9 C in the instance Krebs doesn’t continue to develop, we can’t have too many good Centers.
B) Another bonafide RHD, if not Joker himself, is needed. |
