There's a reason why stealing $10 is larceny and $1000 is grand larceny. They're committing the latter. Also, it's not really a loophole so much as a good cheating tactic. It's no different than the Astros stealing signs, to me.

And I want our first Cup to be legitimate. Not even trying to be dramatic, but I would lose interest quickly if after all this losing we decided to cheat and win.

I think this summer they need to bring in a captain from outside of the organization to hold the rest of the team accountable. I don't have faith in any of these players to be the leader they need when the going gets tough

The timing is incredibly dubious. I believe he had an issue, I also believe he didn't want to play for $1M a year. If it was $8M per he laces them up, no question.
