sorry but if any of you really think they are making the playoffs lets get real. it's just a buffalo hope thing! They are not wining enough of the last 14 games to get this done.
hopefully heads will roll in the off season but I think we all know the answer to that as well. |

Sabres are in the same spot they were before the trade. All they have done since is waste 3 years of a sweet contract for Tuch. - Buff36
Should have gotten kolisar, would be in the playoffs by now |

Eichel is a female dog and Cap Circumvention should have been the MVP of that final. Everyone knows they bought a Cup. Is what it is. - QuinnFan
The Sabres are working hard on the opposite of doing whatever it takes financially to win a cup, as they figure out ways to only spend 80-85% of the cap.
If it took the Sabres spending $40M or even $50M more then the cap limit to win the Cup, nobody would care. |

Just a random thought rattling around in my brain, today.
So much turmoil was brought to Sabres HQ with KP being President: problems with running a sports team like a traditional family business - Lifestyle versus Success at Hockey; someone riding the hobby horse with someone else and it making major noise (who tf cares?!?!?); bad personalities poisoning the troops; and lastly, non-cohesive hockey thoughts - have/had created so much noise that it has been impossible to be a success.
There is jealousy surrounding the VGK organization and their success but you don't hear about anything from their camp but their hockey team making moves to create a winning hockey atmosphere. Same with Tampa. Same with many other successful hockey teams.
Then, we look at the Sabres that ALLOWED an unqualified, unmitigated disaster to dictate terms of operations. It has only been a year since Kim's illness (which, before anyone jumps on this as a harsh comment, I have empathy for her and her continue quality of life) I wonder if all of the previous negativity that she wrought has had time to correct itself? Has all the negativity from One SHK III Plaza been healed?
So many companies lose for years to come because they took on the aura of a failed leader.
A President of Hockey Operations with the right pedigree would do wonders for setting the correct course.

Only if Pegula is willing to be hands off. Which has yet to be seen. And some with "sources" around these parts deny that will happen.

They aren't even remotely comparable tbh. Vegas has done it for multiple years and with multiple players, as a means to augment their post season roster. It's a bit different than having one guy be out one season, when they were already actually hurt. At this point, it wouldn't surprise me if Stone is out jet skiing. |

I was loud about it when Tampa did it too fwiw. They should have asterisks added next to the cup win.
Isn't going to happen. However, I do find what Vegas is doing to be absolutely repugnant. |

Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz reports free agent S Julian Blackmon is scheduled to meet with the Bills.
Buffalo already lost safety Jordan Poyer to the Dolphins, and Micah Hyde is currently a free agent who seems unlikely to return to the team. According to Schultz, Blackmon “has several suitors” this free agency cycle after he totaled four interceptions, 88 tackles, and five TFLs in 2023 while also breaking up eight passes. It was a career year for Blackmon, who will be 26 at the start of next season and could make an immediate impact on a defense desperate for help in the secondary. Blackmon would walk into a significant role with the Bills if the two sides can agree to a deal.
