The Penguins announced today that the shipment carrying the Jagr bobbleheads for tonight’s game has been stolen en route to Pittsburgh.

As a result, the bobbleheads will not be distributed at tonight’s game, but will be distributed at a later date.

Lavi on sticking w/ Zac Jones: "He's waited. He's been patient. He worked hard to get the opportunity, and he's jumped back in & he's played excellent... For a guy that's been here the entire year & the way our team has played the last 3-4 games, we haven’t made a lineup change."

Can we put to bed the trade Zac Jones talk now?

No, but the same logic can be applied to Jones as it has for Gus/Vesey… at 800k next year, how much better can we get at the price? Especially since hes grown with this system.

What is the point of trading Zac Jones anyway? What are we getting in return that will be better for the organization than a cost controlled defenseman who is still only 23 and has proven to be reliable when called upon? A mid level draft pick or some middling prospect? No thanks. We won't have Gus next year most likely. I think with more regular minutes, the kid is going to continously improve

Idk. It's a topic the thread discusses a lot. I like him as a player. Will he ever be good or elite, I'm not sure. I'll take above average.

Edit: Also credit to Lavi for working with and giving Jones credit. Other people would never.

so with all the talk about Mika and Kreider this season being terrible on 5 on 5, does anyone ever take into account that they are always out there against other teams top players, always play the penalty kill, and both have been on the ice for more than twice as many goals for as opposed to goals against (all strengths)?

Edit: Jan mentioned him playing a good 200ft game a few blogs ago and there were a few people who were just not having it.

I think the internet has pushed this 5 on 5 craze and run with it, almost to the point where powerplay goals are deemed unworthy of being happy about

Big Fan of the books and loved part one. Am I ruining it for you (or telling stick to the Rangers) if I told you it was just meh?

I totally agree with you but also think that Mika might have put on 15 lbs of baby fat. Apple sauce has a lot of calories.

I really do think he's done a heck of a job defensively this season, there isn't a whole lot of times the "BFF's" are out there and we are taking the puck out of our net

Their time on the penalty kill isn't a factored into the 5 on 5 analytics.

You have to admit you like it when he plays a little more aggressively than he has this season. He has turned it up a notch over this win streak. I think he has it in him. We saw him turn on a switch and score 5 in philly a few years back. Just stay away from the baby's food- that's all.
