I mean, the fact that its surprisingly not a conditional 2027 pick is a win for Dubas I guess. - Reverend Killtaker

Not speaking about JUST GMJR, but I think he started it.
Less about players acquired, and more about overall roster construction.
Oleksiak, Jack Johsnon, Ryan Reaves, Scevier, Petry, there were definitely moves that shifted the landscape of the roster construction.
I don't absolve Sully from the issues either. He seemed to shift his desired players as well. - j.boyd919
Oleksiak doesn’t belong on that list. He was actually good for a while, and continued to be good elsewhere after we traded him back to Dallas. Shipping him out because he hit a rut was a mistake. |

Evgeny Kuz.has a year left at 3.7ish that seemed be just fine. But 2.5 for Eller is insane? - Brownsoldier
Higher upside if they can get him off the cocaine and guns. Or keep him on the cocaine on the DL.

That's not my list of poopty hockey players, it's just a list to show that the goal of the acquisitions was to change the makeup of this team lol

Well besides Oleksiak it definitely could have been taken as a list of poopty hockey players haha
I also think Oleksiak could have fit the Cup winning Penguins model on top of adding the snarl GMJR fixated on. It baffles me to this day that he soured on him so quickly. Was pretty much exactly what he was going for. |

Didn't he lose a fight right before the team soured on him? He wasn't a fighter, but kind of took that role. Next thing you know, he's gone. I thought he was decent, but Sully hates snarl....I'm convinced of that. Really kind of hate him now. |

Yeah you guys are right. Specifically to Tom Wilson, who was the shadow that Rutherford kept jumping at and the reason he tried to acquire enforcers. I guess there’s my answer. Rutherford got him to check Tom Wilson, he lost the fight, so he got fired. Pretty crazy if you think about it |

I feel like the pens have always got big guys that aren’t very physical, and then people get mad when the big guy doesn’t play a physical game. |

That's because fans know nothing about the players that are acquired, they think that because they are big, that they are physical, when that is almost never the case.

An hour an a half left and we've made 1 trade today. I need to just sign off and go back to work. |

Alright, if Zucker can be moved, there’s no reason why Smith can’t |

We are in the middle of a projected 85 cm's (2.78 feet) snow storm. City is shut down. Good day for at home with the TDL haha |
