Wonder if he got hurt in the scrum after trying to push the puck under Caps goalie
- chimpira

If I had to guess, he broke his hand in that fight. Saw him really looking concerned at his hand in the penalty box.

15 mins left to file ... lots of times trade calls come in way after the TDL hour after all that smoke clears.

That said, it has been a quiet deadline day. CAR being the most active.

ARI dumping 100% of Zucker's and Dumba's salaries ... wonder if they have something up their sleeve.

After spending some time reading about different prospects we were linked to, i started reading about the 2024 draft. Seems to be a very top heavy draft, especially in the 1-7 range and very good options 1-13. After that the level dips down pretty good.

I think the Penguins really need to think about how to handle these next few weeks. Im not saying "tank" because it isnt that simple. But does there come a point where you shut down Crosby/Malkin/Letang/Karlsson? Not so much to tank but more to preserve their bodies physically at their age? I doubt Crosby would be willing to, but i think its something to consider. If we are going to have our pick this year, I want to have a shot at a top 5-7 pick.

If you want the penguins to tank it's best to play crosby, letang, malkin and EK. There doing a great job of it this season...

Prices fell off and they are saying many GMs are pulling back until the offseason (which I assume Dubas is going to do as well).

Can't say I've watched a ton of their games but I don't see Jake putting the Canes over the top.

It was my understanding that they needed like 16 mill cap just to get to the cap floor this offseason.. And that was with those two guys in the equation... I could be wrong here

Can't believe Ned wasn't traded. Leaves me to believe the Pens are going to try to extend him. Maybe they already have. Considering the prices, I'd just keep him anyway. I don't ever remember a buyers market like this. Shero gave up 2 - 2s for crankshaft ffs.

They are still working the phones in Pittsburgh, so I wonder if anything else is going to go down before the end.
