I don’t understand you guys that are including Kakko in a trade like this. We still end up with vesey on our 3rd line this way. For guentzel or another high scoring winger I’d be be ok with that. Crouse has never been a first line winger

Terrible overpayment. Hell no.
- fourtrax23

He’s signed for 3 more years after this. We’d have a 20-30 goal scorer that’s top 10 in the league in hits for $3 million for 3 more years.

It goes up $4m

- Buy out goodrow
- Team friendly deal for lindgren (or replace him for cheap)
- Kakko involved in the trade or moved out in a different trade in the offseason

That’s how you resign him

- picklerick

I literally can't see a player wanting to sign with a team that doesn't have a position for him. It doesn't make logical sense for a player to suddenly be ok with playing RW, when he's played LW his entire life, unless the NY Rangers are his dream team and he doesn't care where he plays.

On a good season he puts up 30-40 points and is mostly invisible for large stretches of games on ice. We don't need to shed a winger and a 1st for more hits.

im just assuming if Drury is actually this invested in the move that this has already been considered. But yes, that’s valid

He does lol this idea that EVERY PLAYER can’t move to RW is horse poop. Not everyone is Kreider or Panarin.

But he’s played there before. You really think the rangers are stupid enough to trade for him if he can’t play RW? I know it’s a loaded question lol but please gimme a break, he can and would be the 1RW

I'm assuming it's not going to happen because Wennberg is here (could have been one stop shopping), but what are everyone's thoughts on Eberle?
- JRR1285

I think he peaked in the 2010 World Junior tournament.
He could probably be called a poor man's version of Panarin in every facet. More of a destitute man, really. But, his cap hit is probably fair for what he brings.

Funny, I've always thought the same regarding his peak. He looked like the future during that tourney.

Can we just get players that play their natural position?
