Sabres defense is legitimately set for next year

Bryson I bet is back and the 7th d

This years chick man. P Ham said Byram hasn’t had a concussion in 2 years.

And Granato said Dahlin Byram d pairing next game.

How is Bryson the 7th D...?

I don't care that it was 2 years ago, he has had multiple. It's a High Risk High Reward Trade. I really hope it works. Still don't like it though

They sure do.

Who is the fascinating question.

How much more do they value Jokiharju now with adding yet another LHD?

Why would you move

Dahlin
power
Samuelson
Byram
Ryan Johnson

No one is taking Clifton

They were willing to healthy scratch him this year and he has no term. He seems like the obvious guy to move. Imagine there'd be a decent market, but you never know.

Moving him this week doesn't seem completely out of the question.

Yeah I don’t think anyone is pooping on the Sabres for making this trade on twitter or social media.

Like I said before

Adams core is guys with long term contract. He chose tage and cozens over mitts.

Numbers game. And I like mitts a lot since his draft He is legitimately a good player and going to tear it up with Colorado and fans and Mike Harrington will cry about it

Dahlin - Jokiharju
Power - Byram
Samuelsson - R. Johnson
Clifton

That's a guess for next season.

A lot of money wrapped up in the defense.

Estimated roughly $35M against the cap next season.

Byram-Dahlin
Power-Samuelsson/R.Johnson
R.Johnson/Samuelsson-Clifton

Joker seems like the odd one out unless you can pawn Clifton off somehow

So they're going to roll with one actual RHD on their roster, and that RHD is Clifton?

I sure hope not.

They'll likely never do this, but getting Clifton off the team should not be an issue.

Yes. Even if you could move Clifton, extending Joker to play 3rd pair is going to be expensive.

To be clear, I'd be fine with a complete makeover from both Jokiharju and Clifton, but Clifton at $3M+ on the 3rd pair isn't cheap either, and his buyout costs virtually nothing.

You know it won't happen.

Clifton on a 3rd pair with a good partner isn't that bad.

keep them losses coming so we can get that undersized forward at the draft

If that doesn't sum up the 20 year rebuild the best.

“Chicken-man sucks because he’s injured too much, but I’m on board with Byram”

- the resident board jackass

That being said, I actually like the move. Now get a gritty, character forward for the top 6 and fix that fourth line and we might have something here.

Is that the aim of the team: Not that bad?

He's a nothing player at an inflated cap hit.
