I hardly notice any difference when Crevier/phillips is on the ice than the other 4 defenseman
- LAHawk

Like Tinordi and anyone is a better option. Or Megna and KK.

The the talent on this team they wouldn’t figure it out if they had another 600 games.
- DarthKane

They sure make it hard to watch. Actually, I do like to watch Bedard, Korchinski, and Vlasic, but that’s about it.

Yeah, Bedard’s line needs a F-1 forward with great hands, speed, who can score, set up Bedsy, and have some toughness about 25yrs.old. Oh, that’s Brandon Hagel.

I think #41 has reached his high water mark as a pro, and might get a bit better, but not monumentally better.
Crevier must have been told to be more physical b/c he has been.

Still lots of work to do but Korchinski’s defense is showing improvement. His positioning is better and he’s closing gaps better. But what I’m really liking is him battling harder for loose pucks.

Eh Hagel is good but I’d love an F1 that is a puck possession monster that can dish it.

Bedard doesn’t need the puck all the time. Take pressure off him so he can skate around and find soft spots and rip shots too.

Needs to get much stronger, Jenner knocked him flying with a one handed push.

Love seeing him use the body. Not sure the kid has completely grown into his body yet. When he gets out of position a lot of long gangly limbs going all over the place scrambling to get back in position.

He has improved, that's all that you can ask from a youngster. Same for Kurashev, but in reality he's not a top six forward.

Makes me sick that we have to see him put that sweater on for another 5 years— puke

If he’s trying and his heads in the game I do think he’s an above avg NHL defender. With the Hawks being this bad don’t think he cares. Makes bad lazy plays all the time. Prob not giving it max effort most of the time.

Maybe I missed it but, does anyone know if Reichel is playing LW or center in Rockford?

Whelp... one of Jonesy's better games ... but that's what I get for watching the game without a keyboard nearby... you make absolutely the right outlet pass... and the highest paid clown on the team cannot handle the puck ... bang in the net .... and there's still about 59 and a half minutes to go.

Please find some forwards for next year. I mean frigging Nylunder looked good comparatively speaking.

They should bring back Kaner next year if it's possible. He could unlock Bedard's full potential.

This guy supposedly wanted to be the team leader Captain. So trying and giving max effort are not an option, its mandatory.

An above average NHL defender - only if you include all 250 Dmen playing in the league. I guess he would be in the top 125.

But lets compare him with the very few who earn similar salaries to him - Josi, McAvoy, Makar, Fox, Nurse. Well below average among them. And that list doesn;t include Hedman, Heiskanen, Doughty, Ekblad and a few others.

Probably true, but it's the quickest way to see all that Bedard can do. I wish he'd reconsider that stance.

Hawks keep their hold on last place as they mail one in on home ice and San Jose ekes out a point at Dallas.

Del Mastro with the OT winner for Rockford. Something positive happened tonight.
- DarthKane

Reichel getting chances sounds like he could be more but has points and goals already after a few games

He needs that success as he works to get another opportunity in NHL

Which however is probably not until next season

On positive note the Icehogs are playing well and might wind up making AHL playoffs. Would like to see Reichel extend season in playoffs

That is most likely very true - all of your point. Keep this in mind when criticism is leveled on s Jones

Jones wouldn’t be the first player in the NHL that is tired of losing, and wanted to be traded to a winning team
