Stars going all in.

Already a good team adding a good depth D. Seamless fit imo.

Arms race going to heat up?

Sounds similar to the fans in here who whine about the reffing.

It goes beyond whining. Some rage quit over it. So dramatic.

In a dream world it would work out that way but this isnt how it is in the NHL or contracts would fluctuate year to year based on who was best on the team that season. Was Miller their best player last season? No. Petey was better. Boeser's contract would have been busted down to a couple of million.... and it all shuffles this season.... and next....

All the d!ck measuring going on about Petey having less points than Miller... a week ago Petey jumped Miller for a couple of games... that's how close it is. Last season Petey finished with a larger point gap that there currently is between the two players now... but the points seem to be this huge line in the sand right now when criticizing Petey... the goal posts move to fit the narratives.

(frank) you are the most insufferable fanboy on any Canucks message board. People aren’t pissed at Pouty due to his point totals. It’s his complete disinterest in the last 20 games. If that upsets you well I don’t give a (frank).

Where did all your measuring stick posts go about the Bruins who just lost 8 of 11 and crapped the bed in multiple games against top teams in the league?

All season you are a stranger in here until the Canucks struggle a bit and then you are a permanent fixture.... until they beat your measuring stick then poof gone again. Lost to the Pens and you are back.

Sad that some people rage quit when the team wins.

The dlck measuring from a sad sad last season to an amazing turnaround season more like it lol

Last season there was much to gripe about on players underperforming as a whole. Petey stood out as the anomaly. Last season was a joke but here we are today. Luvin Canucks hockey again.

The points are what ppl defend Petey with on getting him his new deal. It’s all subjective on value now & who is doing that. The core have all played up to good to great value. Next year will be another story altogether that is yet to play out.

I just posted that to someone who has compared their point totals dozens of times in the last month just to have you say no one is doing it. He has been pissed at Petey since the Ottawa game back in early Dec or late Nov. But you say only 20 games. Maybe you shouldnt speak for other people. You are not even smart enough to speak for yourself.

I wasnt giving him a hard time either... he invited conversation... which we are having. You hate it obviously.

Sloppy, lazy play won't cut it in the playoffs. They must be better if they are going to go deep. RT knows that. Hence why the coach calls them out for it. And he's been calling out players more frequently of late because it's true.

Fanboys are pathetic. You keep being you.

It's priceless seeing you use the coach as an example. He must be a fanboy too because all through your campaign about the Canucks struggles, he was talking all the things you mock... team is tired... tough road trip... I didnt think so and so played that bad... he's young and learning, over and over he brings up it's a 82 game schedule and you are going to have stretches like this. You know, all the fanboy excuses. You are cherry picking from the collection of what RT has been saying and picking the critical and omitting the rest. I'm not even sure you've watched more than a couple of his pressers to be honest. I watch them all.

Yes true I got on Petey’s case in that Ottawa game & for good reasons. Didn’t like his game & he has had some spurts since but has to improve. He has more to give & even RT says it or in a veiled way. Everyone wants the best in the end. Nothing wrong about that.

RT has been upfront & honest since arriving. He’s demanding cuz he knows how tough it is to get to & stay up top as an elite team. He’s driven & won’t ever change. His passion for hockey is obvious & doesn’t ask for more that what he reasonably expects of any player. Each player he treats differently as he should. He’s great at being real & fair assessing what players can be & preaches team hockey & dedication to all of his non negotiables. He sets the bar.

But he ended up having a big game after the 1st. 3 points, 2nd star in a win. Turned up the heat in the 3rd big time... It really wasnt warranted at all. it was a poor 25 minutes of hockey and 1st poor showing in any game up until that Nov 9 match. This is why I felt you were waiting for a reason to pounce...

Things are different lately though, I get it. I'm still not judging a player based on his rare slumps when he has been this successful in his young career. When was the last time we had a 24y/o 100 point player. He's still having a great season even with his recent struggles....

Our best players this season are playing in order of their contracts.

Miller 8m
Hughes 7.875m
Petey 7.35m
Boeser 6.65

Add comments to this as you see fit lol

I find him very reasonable in his pressers. Maybe too soft at times but he's been pretty good at getting through to guys... so far. These struggles lately apply to him as well. They all got to get through it. Good news is they seem waver but never collapse as far as the 60ish game go.

No, just you because someone needs to balance out all your canuck knob-gobbling. So much gobbling you're unable to see poor, undisciplined play. Take a break from it and watch the games.

I’ve backed off on Petey for a lil while now. The last losing streak had other issues needing attention. Rest mainly & getting back to playing their game. Too many penalties & the continuing lousy PP namely. Sloppy play of late probably more mental from being tired. Some days off coming & a light March sched couldn’t come at a better time. There is still lots of tough games in there though. A good lead up to the PO aspirations.
