Oh if he goes back to back 100 point season I'm sure he'll get paid. But he's clearly not worth 12.5 mil.

Maybe 9.5

- LordHumungous

There are eight guys out of 700-800 NHL players who get paid 11 million dollars or more, he’s not getting MacKinnon, McDavid, Matthews money.

lol 7 goals and 1 point...not looking good for Petey but I bet him and his agent still want that 12.5 mil...

Back to back 100 pt seasons man. Holy crap canuck fans are brutal.

Can sign Lindholm for say 7 per and trade Petey for an army I guess.

Worked out really well for Calgary moving Tkachuk

He was 11th in league scoring and will be around there again this year. Cap going up he's getting a ton. He's earned it. How much I don't know but 100 pt players are good for your team just sayin.

“It’s stupid stick penalties. And when you play under pressure, you can’t do those things.”

Tocchet not blaming the refs.
————————————————————-

That’s from X, they obviously botched the Lindholm call but the rest were exactly as Tocchet described, just stupid stick penalties.

It’s just Booner and Vantel, the rest of us know how the game is actually played, well, Reuby doesn’t but he doesn’t blame the refs.

Refs can have a bad game too. I don't blame refs as a rule but when you get the entire fan base except a handful screaming at the officiating, then they probably had a bad game.

I only watched about five minutes of the game but when I did tune in and signed on here I had seen a number of comments saying no way that was a goal.

IMO the whistle should have been blown on the fifth despite what Lefty said. As LM pointed out the refs lost sight of the puck.

I do think like roller derby the refs do give the home team an advantage. Not a conspiracy against the Canucks it is league wide about home team advantage. I didn't like what I saw and decided not to waste my time. No big deal.

I stopped watching after the 2nd, it was pretty obvious that a few players wanted to get back into pond hockey. Not sure why the coaches don't hold them accountable.

Bad few games recently, move on to the next one tomorrow.

I guess you’d rather face some adversity now, rather than right before the playoffs.
But I sure hope they can right the ship and start working towards peaking at the right time.

I have been enjoying the ride, but I can't say I remember a team that was a bottom feeder for as long as Canucks were, that ended up having immediate playoff success.

True.
It’s why my pie in the sky dream was to trade for a sc winner and leader like Crosby.

I wonder what Jagr is doing?

I couldn't find any appropriate garlic that is recommended for up here, so I am happy I at least got some planted that hopefully will be ready by end of summer.

That is always good. Ground still frozen, although been sunny for a week, having to start some plants inside.

The Canucks have nine, first round picks in their lineup, which surprised me. I was just looking at how many first rounders Colorado had in 2022 when they won, specifically, how many top five picks they had. Trying to measure success and top picks.

MacKinnon - 1st overall
Erik Johnson - 1st overall
Landeskog - 2nd overall
Jack Johnson - 3rd overall
Makar - 4th overall
Byram - 4th overall
Kadri - 7th overall
Rantenan - 10th overall
Nichushkin - 10th overall
Newhook - 16th overall
Burakovsky - 23rd overall
Cogliano - 25th overall
