Tomorrow we get to see how they respond to adversity. Haven’t had much this season. Should be a great game and provide us fans with a bit more insight on Canuck playoff readiness.

I'm OK with leaving DeSmith in. He really wasn't playing horribly. The team was an absolute tire fire in front of him.
- Load Management

True but I still think it was the wrong call. Goalie Swap and a timeout would have been warranted. DeSmith was ready to pull a Patrick Roy I bet lol wondering when the fack he was coming out

Did you lose yours on the short bus ride home?

lol oh wait I have to get back to composure. Order yourself some more on Amazon while dunking your pretzels πŸ₯¨ in Beer 🍺. Pics to help you along.

Somewhere out there there's a tree working very hard to produce oxygen so that you can breathe. I think you should go find it and apologize to it.

Going in against the best home team in the league and sitting at 2 losses in a row, is this the time they finally lose 3?

Based on the way they've played the last 2 games especially in the 3rd period I think it's a real possibility. If they can play disciplined I think they'll be OK as their 5 on 5 play has been excellent.

When they find composure then they will be ready.

In games where things break well, from your play, and the other team gets shut down, it all flows well.

It’s the unexpected unexplainable happenings that dent the shine in your game. That type of adversity is what’s needed to be overcome with composure.

No, it seldom crosses a Goalie's mind. You also can't put Demko in for 3 games in 4 days with the team playing like that. Maybe if they were catching some tough luck and DeSmith was struggling. That wasn't the case.

Not a chance in hell Demko and a time out remedy what happened in the 3rd. Only dumping a stick rack and whipping a garbage can across the room wakes them up after that one.

If I was RT I'd make them watch that 3rd period over and over again on the flight to Denver.

At best it could have been one period for Demko plus calm things down a bit and a timeout. I'm sure even the players on the bench were wondering WTF Tocchet was doing. If Minny pulls their goalie at 5 and we do the same it has the ability to match the pace of the game...which clearly wasn't the case lol. I'm not with you on this one dude it was a horrible coaching error that could cost the club mentally down the stretch here. But in Tocchet's defense he's still learning on the fly as well. Adversity will happen so maybe this can be a good thing to get this crap out of the way before PO's. But still it was a bonehead play by Tocchet. Desmith should have been like:

I'm sure when he references his back to back 100 point seasons during negotiations the retort will be "Yeah, but remember that random game against Minnesota in February?"

I think rather than snivelling and whining over whether he gets 11 or 12 mil or whatever, this fanbase should just be happy about having a player who is good enough to be in the position to demand that much.

You can't make the Goalies accountable for that mess. It sends an even worse message than what you're suggesting. There were more deserving people that could have rode the pine. Let's not forget Minny was down 5-3 when they pulled Gustavsson at the start of the 3rd. They also had a couple of early 5 on 3s.

β€œIt’s stupid stick penalties. And when you play under pressure, you can’t do those things.”

Tocchet not blaming the refs.

That’s from X, they obviously botched the Lindholm call but the rest were exactly as Tocchet described, just stupid stick penalties.

Personally, I could care less what he gets paid, that’s for next year. Focused on them winning this year.

I'm not holding DeSmith accountable and not at one point did I say he was horrible. Just he should have been out after the 5th and tying goal. period. Regardless. Tocchet is accountable for this one as much as the crappy defense tonight.
