alright, the Victory Headwaters Ale. a refreshing boldly-hopped ale.

first of all, great can.

it's a great looking beer. nice color, nice carbonation. smells hoppy and fresh.

very refreshing. nice snappiness from the hops but not like a bite or anything. definitely lemon or orange in the taste but not as grapefruity as some of the others. i really like it. gonna give it 8.9 s2tp's. i will drink this beer again.

- kicksave856

this actually gets better with every one i drink.

this could be my go to victory beer in the heat months™

G kinda sucks at fetch. He'll chase whatever you throw, but will look at you like an bumhole when you tell him to bring it back.

The GF’s spending the week in Toronto, in Queen West. Any tip on where I should kindly ask her to go to bring me back some good bottles?

Bellwoods brewery is in between queen and dundas on ossington. They have a bottle shop there and you pretty much can't find those beers anywhere else so if it's something "rare" you're looking for that'd be the place to go. Way overpriced though.

other than that you're pretty much stuck with the LCBO.

I'm out of the loop when it comes to new releases but I do know Great Lakes Lake Effect IPA is back and I can recommend that one pretty easily. It's in cans. You can search for stock based on location and all that fun stuff on their website.

Nice, thanks. Bellwoods was on my radar, but I had only seen their other shop on Hafis.

Read on some site that the Jelly King is like $6.50. Not that bad. At least, compared to other hoppy sours in Quebec. Of which there is one.

FYI they currently have Nogne O Imperial Rye Porter and Old Rasputin for like $6.50. The selection seems better than in the last couple of years.

Their special releases are usually $12-15. I haven't been there since they opened their other location though. Maybe they have upped production to the point where they can actually be competitive with their pricing. ~$6 for an IPA when we had better IPAs for $3 elsewhere was lol worthy.

alright.

i just got back from the store and i have obtained some beer.

i saw the victory coffee cream ale and was interested but thought it hasn't been very long since the previous post on it and didn't want to step on toes because i am nothing if not the most polite mother(frank)er you ever met. luckily, i soon saw that they have a sixpoint coffee cream ale called c.r.e.a.m. now i love the brewery, but this is a scary sounding style of beer. i'ma give it a go though.

additionally, a decision had to be made between the sierra nevada sidecar (orange) or the troegs first cut (brewed with mangoes). i hadn't heard of the first cut before so i went with that.

lessons have been learned and i made sure my selections had dates on them and were fresh. i even put lagunitas' ipa down because there was no date on it.

stay tuned!! more to come!! start here!! dominoes!!!!
