backreading the thread was fun though.

i didn't even know i liked stouts and stuff when this thread started and now porters and stouts are all i drink.

i was english bitter guy. there's even a post where you tell someone that i don't like stouts cause we didn't know i did yet.

i just looked in my fridge and there's breckenridge vanilla porter, founders breakfast stout, yards tavern porter, sierra nevada porter, lancaster milk stout, poet oatmeal stout, and one poopty horny goat stout.

I don't like Rogue anymore. So overpriced and all their gimmick beers are gross.

I liked their imp stout, skullcrusher, their barley wine, and poop like that but everything else has been so meh.

They are a relic from before Ontario/Quebec knew how to make way better beer for way less money. RIP.

I love Trois Pistoles. It's their best beer that comes in small bottles here imo.

It ages the best out of their 341ml beers too. La Fin Du Monde is 2nd. La Fin ages gloriously too. I still have some 2-4 year old bottles of both (not sure the age, I don't remember lol). They both get significantly better with age though. Ridiculously so.

edit: trois pistoles reminds me a bit of abbaye des rocs grand cru. more of a roasted malt thing going on than you'd expect for the style. that ages really well too.

GRRRRRRRRRRRR

To each their own Big fan of their apple and cranberry beer. Tastes so real, unlike those ones where you know they just added artificial flavouring made from bendiotix xiodymate.

Firestone Walker Brewing Co. Wookey Jack. Quite possibly one of my favorite beers now. It's a black rye IPA. Looks like a stout. Smells amazing, it gives off a stong citrus smell. First taste stong citrus hops followed by a nice spice malty flavor. Highly recommend

Maybe, it added a unique smokey-ness to it that wasn't overwhelming like most chili beers.

_nay_, where are you?!
Microbrasserie Charlevoix made a second batch of their limited edition oak barrel aged beers : DOMINUS VOBISCUM TRIPLE VIEILLIE 2 MOIS EN FÛT DE JACK DANIELS and DOMINUS VOBISCUM DOUBLE VIEILLIE EN FÛT DE ZINFANDEL

So pumped to try these! I missed on the first batch. A friend said the Triple Jack was insane.

Nice

Got someone last year who went with 3 guys to Baie Saint Paul and brought back 20 cases (5 max per person) to Montreal. Got half a case (one bottle of each six). The best one was the Double Pinot noir IMO. Probably won't this year, but those are pretty freaking awesome
