i usually like a different kind of beer, but i just looked that up and i'm kind of willing to give it a shot from what i see. everyone who's had it says they love it.

My #1 GL.

There's a tiny community brewery in Blo, Community Beer Works, and they've also been putting out some good ales. It doesn't make up for the lack of fresh Lagunitas mind you, but it's good and I'm happy to support those little hopehead hipsters.

I suggest you drink Scottish Whiskey instead.

someone bought me a drink the other day and it was irish whisky but i don't know what kind it was. i think i enjoyed it, but i was already really drunk so i can't be sure if it was as good as i thought it was.

what are the major differences in taste between the irish whiskey and the scottish whiskey?

That's fair, diff'rent strokes.

My wife and I met over a couple shots of Jameson's, so I have a soft spot. Generally though, I don't care for the sourness I associate with most Irish whiskeys.

i think i had bushmills. but i thought i liked it and from what i'm reading bushmills is terrible. so maybe it wasn't bushmills.

either way, i don't have a romantic story to attach to it like you did.

If by romantic you mean adding another two shots to an overdoing it night, barely walking straight and laughing at our friends who were going out to get over exes and making asses of themselves, kicking a guy her friend was going to smang out of her apartment for blowing coke in her bathroom (alone, mind you) then yes, it was very romantic.

i never like the spicy taste to pumpkin beers. nutmeg or whatever it is. i've also really never had a christmas beer i've enjoyed that much for the same reason. most of them taste like there's cinnamon in them or something.

but this is more like pumpkin pie with cool wHip.

the smell alone is kind of incredible.

Also bought some of the choklat and terrible last week. Letting these guys sit for awhile. Buddy of mine who's a bit more of a connosieur of these types of beers than I am recommended waiting a few months on both.

That was one of the things I guessed at when talking to a friend about the difference this year. When I had it last year it had been sitting there for probably 6 months I guess? I just couldn't wait this year lol. I'll get another bottle and drink it in the spring I guess.

From my experience La Terrible does age really well though so I am planning on aging a few bottles and having them over the next few years. I've been aging a 6 pack of La Fin Du Monde too (removed the foil on the bottles as suggested, apparently it rusts). They are turning 1 years old this year. They grow up so fast
