Czechvar (I sound like a broken record). It's highly regarded as one of, if not the best Lagers in the World. Outside of the US, it may also be known by it's original name Budvar. A-B sued them when they tried to bring it to the US claiming trademark infringement. Those swill brewers at A-B could only dream of making a beer even comparable to Czechvar.

Do not make fun of the hometown beer, St. Louis takes offense! Although I am not very fond of any A-B products as well. Just like I can't stand Imo's pizza nor could anyone else not born and raised in St. Louis.

The origins of Budweiser come from Czechoslovakia.

Anheuser-Busch was founded by German immigrants, the American brewers say. Adolphus Busch (a German-born American beer brewer) adopted the name Budweiser in 1876. He is said to had thought it was a great idea to give the beer distinct and evocative name --Budweiser - that reminded him of his old country which already was well-known for its high quality beer products, and was also to be brewed in the same style the Czech/German lager-style beers were.

I have a bunch of cold ones in the fridge for tonight but will still be going for the Vodka. It does seem to create a double vision effect, for some reason I keep seeing two Senator players and only one Sabre around the puck. I'll need to have a few more to get the proper perspective tonight!

I lived there for a while I know how the town relies on A-B, I just don't like any of the St. Louis pizza places. They use that ultra thin crust and provel cheese, most people would not recognize it as a real pizza. I know the locals love it, but it's an acquired taste at best.

I have to agree with our former resident, here. I'm not a big fan of the cracker crust either...I much prefer the Chicago or NY style, myself.

Ever had Ciroc? Not good for mixing, kind of sweet, but ice cold it goes down way to smooth.

Well pop (soda) cans are not refundable in Ontario, and a deposit in not charged.
- Doppleganger

This is classic Canadian trade BS. There is a deposit on beer cans but not pop cans as a non tariff trade barrier against US beer companies, which sell a lot of cheap beer in cans while Canadian companies sell far less. Molson's is probably the most powerful policical force in Ontario.

Not impressed with the Senators lack of urgency in last night's game. When you have the best team (regular season) down 3 games to zero, you put them out ASAP.
