that beer should be so up my alley but it's one of the few trappist ales that i don't totally love

doesn't have a crazy alcohol content but there's something really alcohol/astringent/gasoline-ish... can't put my finger on it

shvingy whad'd you think?

it wasn't what i was expecting. i think the initial taste was good, but if i recall correctly the after taste was very gasoline-ish.

Grabbed these today. original Pil brewed in Czech. Surprisingly good. Faint smell of parmesan for some reason beforehand but smooth as silk after.[/img]

Tastes a bit skunky/odd even from a can so it's not the green bottle but that's part of the style. I'm not a big pilsner fan usually but that is a good beer.

auto correct tried to make me say pisser instead of pilsner

Had a few pints of "The Devil Made Me Double Dry Hop It" tonight. Amazing on cask. Great Lakes Brewery never fails me when it's on cask. I wish they had these beers in cans or bottles though.

Got a 6-pack of those. Really delicious. Basically a very hoppy Belgian Ale.

sounds bizarre to me. belgian ales aren't hoppy. so if it's hoppy how can it be a belgian ale? i don't care if they use belgian yeasts, i am confused by it.

Belgian IPAs are tasty. La Chouffe makes an excellent one. There are a ton of good ones from over here using north american hops too like Derniere Volonte and Lupulus. Mmm.

Another sweetish one that's still pretty decent is the Luppo from Belgoo. It might remind you of canned fruit cocktail, but the hops help make it highly drinkable.

Neighbors got me a 6-er of Kona Lager for looking after their cat while they were in Hawaii. Tastes like cereal, which is to say, not good.

Two nights ago I decided to get a little drunk so I bought some Moosehead, Corona, Faxe, Steeler, Heineken and some kind of german beer that had a jouster on the can.

I await your insults.

Also, I bought the Faxe because I thought the viking on the can was nifty.
