I ask because the place I have mentioned where we go for wings and beer before the game has bacon night on saturday. instead of a basket of chips, pretzels you get a basket of deep fried bacon

Had this beer the other day...

A little sweet, but hoppy and very good. Drink it with a strong cigar.

Speaking of cigars, any beer and cigar peeps?

I am a bit of a cigar lover. I went to Cuba a few years back and since then have regularly enjoyed a couple cigars a week.

I only drank beer in the first two periods............and Ottawa scored in each. I will open a third beer before the second overtime to see if the karma will help.

Well I don't like warm beer so I had to settle for something else containing alcohol. I would have been fine for OT3 if it had happened - the warm beer would have been cold.

No one expected a 4 game sweep for either team. I expect the Sabres to make a series of this, and win at least one game in Ottawa. But I still feel it is Ottawa's series.

With the Advice of all the beer lovers I went out and got some new beer for myself on friday night. Brooklyner Weisse. Brooklyn Brew's Wheat beer. Says on the label is like a Bavarian beer. It's actually really good. I still couldn't find Brooklyn's Dark Chocolate Stout at 2 of the places I went too. Gon'na go to a few more to look for that.

Stela's is next week's beer. Any opinions on that. I've never had it either..

Not a big fan of wheat beer. Was in a bar that offered the third wheat beer free, for every two drank...............could not finish the first.

Try to find a bottle of the Brooklyn Brewery's "Local 1". It's a little pricey, about $8-$9 for a big bottle, but definitely a great beer. It's a dark Belgian-style ale. I've seen it at Food Emporium, Whole Foods, and a few bars in Williamsburg, near the actual Brooklyn Brewery.

$8-$9 for a bottle. Damn. I paid $8.55 including tax for a sixer of the wheat beer. I thought the Brooklyn Brew wheat beer was actually really good.. I'll try to look for the "Local 1" around here. Give that a shot next.

When I lived in Germany (seven years) this was one of the first beers I drank. Ganter beer, popular in the Baden WÜrttemberg area.

I actually lived across the Street from a small Brewery, and every time I walked past it, the freaking german shepperd would come charging up the fence barking................so I never did try thier beer.

The bottle is 1 pint, 9.4 oz - I suck in math, but I think that's close to a wine bottle. Anyone with metric abilities figure this one out.

It's bottle fermented, so it has a cork and you open it kinda like champagne.
