Levi coming into camp as a #1 lock and getting the cushy home starts set the tone.

Not a top 50 NHL affiliated prospect in the NHL according to Craig Button apparently.

- Swedish_Jesus

Button is often full of poop.

Don't look at how Zegras has 'performed' so far this season.

Does handing him a #1 NHL job bother you now?

Maybe the Sabres should hire Mr. Clifton! Sounds like 1 speech did more than 2 of years of Captain

It’s disappointing, glad the Sabres were smart enough to keep upl around and happy .

Smart of KA to have him over for dinner and keep his morale high

Maybe smarter to tell him he'd have a chance to fight for the #1 job in camp?

Upl had some spurts of success the last few years.

Agreed, management had a great “back up” plan

We were all right about Pat Kane
- TheSabresTaco

There were a baker’s dozen of us who were pumping the brakes on running it back

A few were even confident up until a couple weeks ago

Several were right on being patient with UPL

Maybe two of us were like oh my god yes Pat Kane. There was a lot of eh it won’t bother me if they do, and just as many calling him shot.

I said this team was going to take a step back, to start the season with UPL/Comrie but keep Levi up here as the rotating goalie and to absolutely sign Pat Kane.

I’ll say this, no matter what happens, if Granato is the coach next year, it won’t matter what they do. He clearly cannot coach at the NHL level. I hope I’m wrong on this. But I was done with this team 10 games into the season and luckily the tickets my gf bought this season were for the Colorado game last fall. It was a good last memory of the Buffalo Sabres for me.

No one on this planet takes Craig Button seriously. Not now, not before, and certainly not after.

Also Byron Bader believes in magic and dragons. So, cool graphic.

I was being sarcastic. I was at the bolded. We were off. 95% of us, including myself, were off. I eventually wanted him because of our sad state of affairs, and was willing to hope for the best.

I can't recall more than two people truly wanting the player.

As far as this coaching staff, I'm done and have been done with them too.

They've shown me nothing to deserve to come back.

(frank)ing Granato took Ellis' job away and now the PP is just below average instead of dreadful.

NHLe has its merits if used correctly in conjunction with several other factors.

Just saying.

Special teams.

Forcing a Dahlin-Samuelsson pair for months despite Dahlin-Joker always having good underlyings.

Finally elevating Krebs after 50 games.

Sad state of affairs

imagine being forced to play ryan johnson and consciously deciding that clague, bryson and ejohnson are a better choice

where is stillman in the mix?

Bloom tearing it up once he went back to OHL this season

side note, his team mate Parekh is rising up the draft boards
