Looks like the Salary Cap in Football could be 7 or 8 million higher than the Original Number. Could come in around 250mill

He has 2 years left on his Contract, if the Sabres don't get it right next year. You have wasted 3 years of Tuch and know you have to start thinking long-term extension with someone who will be in there 30's. I don't want to trade him, but I would if it helped me longer term. Sabres need work and Tuch doesn't guarantee anything next year.
- Buff36

Fair. I think he's one that could last longer due to his size and skating ability, but I that's more understandable.

If you had to move one of the following Sabres for a bonafide Top 4, RhD, in which order would you prefer:
-Tage
-Tuch
-Mitts
-Cozens

- IonSabres

Tage for legit top 4 D, solid bottom 6 center, 1st round pick

Would make us a worse team. Why are we trying to trade good players for parts again?

We have (5) 1st rounders waiting in the wings if we count this years' pick. There is ABSOULTELY no reason to trade him right now, especially for 2nd pairing and bottom 6 guys. You trade him for an NHL All Star or not at all.

wow, I like the aggressiveness...but I wonder if he is truly valued in that way.

He's had one very good season (1.2 PPG), one good season (.9 PPG) , and this season is at a .75 PPG pace.

Would you trade him for a Andersson/Theodore/Severson type?
How about a Brady Tkachuk?

Severson don't belong in that grouping. Junk.

How many Brady Tkachuk's are out there? Hardest type of forward to find.

What is it about Tuch that stands out? Is it just that he has a high perceived value or are you worried his raise from the $4.75M is going to be too much? Or was it just, Vegas trade = trade former Vegas players back?

Just curious.

Tuch is like the last guy I would move, regardless of the target.

I think Tuch is obviously a very good player but I also think he gets over rated by this fan base.

He theoretically should be a teams 4th best forward imo.

Depending on who’s coming back I don’t feel he’s remotely untouchable

No to the D-men, yes to Tkachuk but I still try to dangle other players long before Tage. The list of D-men I'd trade Tage for is short and he wouldn't get it done for either:

That first part may be true, the hometown heroes normally get a few extra points. I just don't see a player on this team that's been as consistently impactful. He's #4 on paper but actually #1 or #2 in that category.

While no one should truly be untouchable on this team, he's definitely at the bottom of the pecking order when considering tradeable assets. While we normally fall back on, "gotta give to get", we have plenty else to give.

tuch, casey, tage, cozens, peterka

which of these 5 is most likely off the roster in 24 months?

If they don’t trade him, they need to sign him.

At that point he will become judged.

Kind of hard to hate on a legitimate top 6 forward making peanuts.
