How about proving a top 3 QB is already past his prime going into his age 28 season. Try that first

It’s entirely realistic that we may have witnessed the best 3 year stretch of Allen’s career.

Meanwhile the are Bills 56M over the cap and Von and Diggs are immovable.

The last three years were the best opportunities for the Bills to win a ring and they did nothing but go backwards.

This is so true and having good coaches that can make clutch decisions is a must and Buffalo has one's that cannot get to the next level and never will. They have proven it for years, yet they are still there collecting a paycheck.

I don't disagree that the last 3 yrs were opportunti4s lost...but, significant injuries to position groups and dependent & complimentary position groups played a major factor.
That aside, 13 seconds hurts deeply.

All of this has merit, but in order to have these "best opportunities to win a ring" you have to have people who know what they're doing to get to that point.

The Sabres have unqualified people who still believe the likes of Kyle Okposo and Zemgus Girgensons provide any excuse for value to a team that claims to make winning a priority, despite the fact that even Stevie Wonder can look at two decades worth of data without the assistance of braille and determine the opposite is true.

The Bills are your semi-successful relative that could be so much more if he just applied himself. The Sabres are the drug-addicted relative who simply refuses to get help. The really sad part is that the case was the opposite in the mid-2000s.

That's utter nonsense. If it's true for the Bills it's true for every team in the league. It's also possible he ascends to an even higher level. It's also possible your next football take will be your first good football take. Anything's possible

My football takes the last 12 months:

Bills should have hired Sean Payton/Vic Fangio combo.

Beane is overrated.

Dolphins would win the division.

Brandon Aiuyk was a WR1 talent (when there was a discourse regarding the Diggs trade had they kept the pick).

75% from the floor 🤷🏻‍♂️

No matter what happens this offseason, the worst move to happen to the Bills is Fangio leaving the Dolphins. The Bills are no longer guaranteed two division wins.

The Super Bowl favorite the last two years and a perennial playoff team is more of an embarrassment than the bottom dwelling soul sucking Sabres. Is an all time take.

Super Bowl favourite, no rings, but blessed us with 13 seconds and Wide Right 2.0 in front of audiences of 40M plus viewers.

Meanwhile the Stanley Cup final this year will draw what 1/10th of that if lucky ?

Does a quarter of the United States even realize there is a sport called Hockey ?

But yes, continue

If I were to tell everyone that after 54 games

6k would have 30 games played and be a top 10 goalie in the league

and we would be 14th in the east

people would think I was crazy

8-9, fired

meh

Did not

Aiyuk's been good since he was a rookie, hardly went out on a limb there

Don't even know what that's supposed to mean.

I mean, it's good to have a healthy sense of self, but you think those are your good takes?

It's fine in that you don't have to go scorched earth and cut people, but you can't really make significant improvements either. They have to hit in this draft at an above average rate to fill their holes.

All that does is kick the can down the road and lead to higher dead cap hits when the player is older.

Want to get rid of Diggs ? Sike, $31M dead cap hit charge is almost double the cap hit then keeping him on the roster.

Restructure White or Dawkins and you got the same issue.

Beane has been GM since 2018, how many guys are still on the roster and making above average contributions to satisfy any confidence that he can do this ?

Right, and if Sean McDermott was coaching the Russell Wilson led Broncos they would have won at most 3 games.

I wonder what a Sean Payton/Josh Allen duo would look like. Who knows, after McDermott wastes another two years of Josh Allen we might find out.

Aside from Allen, what has Beane done to warrant anything ? His drafts have mostly sucked since 2019 and he now has next to no cap space.

Dolphins did not win the East, hence my 75% correct comment. That was an L.

In regards to Aiyuk, feel free to find the thread from last year when ImThatGuy went off about how he couldn’t take my football takes seriously because I said Aiyuk was a stud pre-breakout this year with more volume.

Look, I'm pro-sh¡tcanning McDermott, but Payton's a dinosaur, so is Fangio for that matter.

Beane is fine, Roseman he isn't, but Jerry Jones he isn't either.

Again, Aiyuk has been good since he was a rookie, one guy said he didn't think so doesn't make it some hot take

How good are their prospects? Feels like their high prospect ranking is more due to quantity then quality. I don't think any of them are big impact players.

It's not only about what they're doing in their respective leagues.

It's about their NHL projections.

Sure, you can pick out things about the Bills that aren't good, or need to change (I'd love a different head coach), but to think for even a second that the Sabres are a better run org than the Bills is beyond laughable. I'll take a yearly playoff team and being in the SB conversation, over whatever the (frank) it is KA is trying to do, anyday. To each their own I guess. There's always another top 10 pick to look forward to.

Actually would want a Top 10 at this point, it would be more ammunition if our GM knew how to use it.
