I’m absolutely done with Rakell and graves. Malkin needs to be in wing and we need a new 2C. It’s becoming a chore to watch them play (mostly referring to the 1st). Bush league turnovers and there is zero urgency. The PP may be the least threatening I’ve ever seen. |

That’s likely because you expect them to win. I’ve found the like 3 games highly entertaining. |

Murray kept close.
A retool is more than a new group of bottom 6 plugs and a former 30+ superstar.
It’s also long overdue. |

That’s a shame because you missed entertaining hockey with a ton of back and forth chances and awesome saves. |

The 3rd was pretty good. Pens need some major upgrades in their top six. |

Yeah Smith and Rakell have been abysmal. DOC ain’t it. I think Puljujarvi was decent last night next to Geno on the forecheck though. I think that’s something they should try for a few games. He was able to separate guy from the puck a few times in dump ins and forechecks allowing Geno or Smith to retrieve the puck.
There were multiple instances where the Pens had 3 on 2s and the puck carrier pushed the puck up to one of the guys along the boards for the zone entry and the D stepped up and pinched them against the boards. I saw Smith give it to Geno and there was nothing he could do with it because the Dman was right in front of him. I don’t understand why the carrier doesn’t just cross the line and let the wingers center lane drive. It’s a simple 3 on 2 to create space except they ruin it by giving the Dman a chance to play the puck. |

They do the same thing on the PP, drop pass then quick up to a guy standing on the blue line who has no choice but to dump it in. |

Yes, man. They were good games. The first period last night was sh!t and a bit of a slog for both teams... But there's more than one period in a game. These past two games could of went either way but Pens were the better team overall last night and this despite the fact they haven't played much the past month and sporadically when they have. I think it's possible we're on the cusp of a little run.. But won't fully commit to a prediction because my brain won't allow it hahah... We shall see what happens... |

As I'm watching last night I can't help but wonder what Puljujarvi has done to get that chance, to pretty much immediately get injected into top 6. There's guys in bottom 6, who've been working their a$$es off every shift, every night not getting a sniff... Not even a look up there.
It also makes me consider how Geno has a revolving door of wingers, not just this season but over the years, and Sid gets his continuity and familiarity night in, night out hahah |

To paraphrase Homer, it's because of the two sweetest words in the English language "de-fault" ... i.e. JP was put there due to a lack of other options. You're not going to put any of the 4th line guys there, or Eller since you need a 3C, and Rak is off the rails. |

I'd try Harkins there for a bit, for sure. He's fast and agressive on the forecheck.. retrieve pucks for the slower Geno. Really though, I think Rak should be there. Let them figure it out again.. They've been very effective before. Give Geno some consistency. |

Harkens (frank)ing sucks. The dude is beyond useless lol I don’t want him anywhere near the top 6. |

I’m glad the bottom six guys work hard but not a single one of them has a skill set that could possible translate to the top 6. DOC doesn’t either. The guy in the bottom six that might be the most probable to have some sort of success in the top 6 might legitimately be Jeff Carter, which, come on. JP getting a shot up there says less about him and more about how poorly constructed this roster is. |

Bottom 6 is dog poop. I thought you were a super fan and all knowing?
Reality is the bottom 9 is dog poop….but at least they will retire pens?
Highlight of the year was watching maf pull saves out of his ass.

In the hardest league in the world he always gets the puck in the corner and does something useful with it. He’s 7 times the player if DOC. |

Honestly a bonafide scoring winger, who actually scores a bunch and two guys to make an impact fourth line, like go out and (frank)ing ground and pins the poop out of guys would change the whole complexion of this team. Problem is you have 10million tied up in EK who is a 6.5 million player max. |

You get nothing for effort in the league It is all about the W Not close calls
They have no snipers any more They hit the target not the net Out shooting the opponent does not count WINS count Cannot even get a loser point They have no clue what to do on the PP I watch other games and teams make it look so easy Pens make it look so hard I know they are getting old but senile might be more realistic They all need glasses The point is to hit the net not the Goalie |

One thing being bad cap management does t make another bad cap management not bad. Let’s just bond over moving Carter up instead of argue over EK. |
