Not sure what you mean? Mikheyev signed as a free agent and gets paid what a plethora of middle six guys around the league get paid. Especially in free agency. He averages 14:40 a night, his CF% is 52% and his PDO is above 100, he's fine. Is he overpaid - sure, his knee injury set him back IMO. I hardly think that was a mistake, he's been an ok player for the Canucks. I like his speed vs a guy like Garland, who has one more point than Mikheyev averaging two more minutes a game and getting 200K more yearly.

Personally I wouldn’t trade anything for Monahan. If we are adding anyone else I would want a strong skater or some grit. Preferably both. Monahan appears pretty washed. He is getting some points but I think that’s more because of his prime opportunities on a bad team. He won’t sniff top 6/ pp on the Canucks

I still think he is a upgrade on Miky on that line. Adds even more C depth. Can slot in anywhere... size added is a good thing.

I’d prefer Vatrano, Henrique or Greenway I think. For differing reasons. I’m not necessarily against Monahan it just feels a bit redundant and they seem to think he is worth a first which seems nuts. Don’t want to trade the 2016 first yet. Maybe later for more impact
