Beautiful city, they also have a hockey culture there with a long standing AHL presence, plus you can have three wives there, lots of puzzy!!

There, Houston, Portland, San Diego, Kansas City, Hamilton even Timbuktu, better spots than the desert

Don't the Phoenix Sun's play in downtown Phoenix, yet the hockey team cont get in the arena, probably due to Phoenix residents preferring concerts and comedians, over watching hockey
- Reubenkincade

Again, you don’t know what you’re talking about, although I am waiting on a plane to fly to Columbus Ohio, so I have some time.

They played in America West Arena, now called the Footprint Center, for their first seven years in Phoenix, however, it’s not built for hockey, much like the arena in Brooklyn NY the Islanders left. Thus they moved when the city wouldn’t renovate it.

I think Cincinnati would be a good location. Sports culture with the Bengals and the Reds, cold weather, seems plausible.

I am aware of why they moved out of that arena, which is why I said, Phoenix is more interested in having an arena for the Sun's, concerts and comedians, more than having any interest in an nhl team.

Yes and a natural rivalry for Columbus maybe.

After being married to a redhead for many years, I’d prefer a nice stable raven haired brunette for some sanity in my life.

I don’t know if you’ve ever been there but it’s a beautiful city. The Ohio river separates the Kentucky portion from the Ohio portion. Really nice city. High crime rate in areas though.

Too short?

Yes, Ohio is full of trees, valley’s and rivers, it’s very green. Reminds me of the Muskoka area of Ontario.

It's the Beanpot semi-finals, and five #Canucks prospects will be taking part.

2PM – Harvard (Aku Koskenvuo) vs. Northeastern (Jackson Dorrington).

5PM – Boston College (Jack Malone) vs. Boston University (Tom Willander & Aiden Celebrini).

I don't think TSN is playing the games this year.

It is about time, although I wonder if it is the chl scholarship money the NCAA is after.

With a properly located arena they will sell out most nights. They averaged 14,000 tickets sold way over in Glendale, with an arena in Scottsdale it would be 17K to 18k a night.

- Pacificgem

Yeah all my oil buddies that own property down there said the local papers would report a 14,000 seat average for the games of 'tickets possibly sold' and when they attend the games they are lucky if there was 6000 fans there most nights and most from Canada. Nice try though

That team has bled 20-40 million in cash for over 16 -20 years just move the fucking team already. But Gary and his merry band of idiots just won't let it go.

Good point, Reuben. Too bad you have to make it time and time again.
I think he got dumber since he's been swimming in that salt water pool that reeks of stale urine.

This. The franchise is and always had been a dog and pony show, Tempe is just the latest on a long list of (frank) ups. SLC would be an easy change, fast growing city and billionaire owner.

Well, you don’t really know what you’re talking about so there’s really no sense in discussing it with you. Kinda like the on-ice product, so we’ll just leave it at that.

Possibly. It does certainly allow for kids to continue their careers in hockey at a higher level.

Unrelated to Canucks but Jason Speeza's younger brother Matthew passed away over the weekend from an accidental overdose.

Condolences to Jason and his family.
