Tanev in Dallas?

That read just convinced me that Dallas probably doesnt do that. They have such a solid D group, dont see why they would need Tanev or Hanifin for that matter.

Jersey now, they should be pulling the trigger with the Flames sooner than later on at least one D & an offer sweet enough to get Conroy to approach Markstrom.

Montreal does this if there’s someone they want when that pick is due. I realize we have 2-1sts, just wonder if we still do by the draft. Last time I remember the FLAmes having more than 2-1sts was when Festers crew blew those picks on nobodies
I think our scouting department has improved immensely since then.
Exciting time to be a Flames fan, that’s for sure.

You can say to get over Treliving giving up a 1st to get rid on Monahan but that move might also have pushed Johnny out of town as well. Stupid Treliving.

I know & to think I used to defend Treliving 3 years ago. Johnny left before the trade so I dont think that was it. Treliving committed one of the worst cardinal sins of letting a star player walk without getting any assets back. Huge mistake. On the other hand, his poor asset management of having all these key players go to UFA's all at once may have a pretty nice silver lining in that we are going to get one hell of a bump for our rebuild/retool.

Maybe maybe not..... Tanev is a nice upgrade on both Hakenpaa and Lundkvist and would give them the D depth that every cup contender goes out and gets at the deadline.

Harley Hieskanen
Lindel Tanev
Suter Hakenpaa
Hanley Lundkvist

Jersey for sure is a great fit for Tanev and Marky and if they come out of the break hot I could see them making an agressive move.

If the Flames cant trade Vladar, would it be wise to put him on waivers and switch with Wolf?

Colorado scouting him his last game so I think he wouldn’t clear. Besides we’re going to need him when we trade Marky.

You can’t tell me Johnny didn’t hear the rumblings and that helped him leave. Why else would anyone go to Columbus.
