If Kakko was a San Jose Shark, would you want the Rangers to trade a 1st round pick for him? The answer is obviously no.

There are 16 other teams in the league that wont make the playoffs.

Brukie is the same guy earlier in the year that said we didn’t need to do anything we’re good enough he said

if the Rangers had a great January, Brukie would be the first guy to point out that the 2023 Bruins had a great January and then look what happened to them

That's not an answer? If you're a non playoff team, would you trade a first 1st pick this year for a 3rd line forward with no offense to his game. Any GM that would, should be fired on the spot.

The Ranger team that went 18 and 4 to start the season or the team that has gone 12 and 14 since???

If Igor doent find his way and the Rangers tighten up their D, I dont give a poop who they trade for, they arent winning anything

The way they were playing, that was true, since then....Not so likely

Ryan O'Reilly has won a Conn Smythe trophy, I mean what are we even talking about
- jimbro83

ROR is the ideal deadline C add to give that team the extra oomph. Add Tank at RW and we're set.
Ask your brother how to make it fit.

Get out of here with logic.
We are supposed to trade our worst players for the other team's best and maybe throw in a 4th to sweeten it.

Agreed although I think the break will help set a few players right. Maybe Igor has some fun at the ASG and gets rejuvenated.

The same way theres people who dont want to trade him and see potential, Im sure theres GMs out there that see potential. Hes already got the defensive part of his game down, that alone will have teams interested and keep him playing. Theres probably GMs out there looking at him and looking at our teams thinking, the Rangers chronically suck at developing talent and that they could do a lot better with Kakko.

It does fit lol get a 3rd party to broker 1.25 of Tarasenko and its even better

Breaking my vow for a second, apologies lol

ROR for Kakko, Edstrom (or B-C prospect of their choice), and a ‘25 or ‘26 first rd pick.

Get er done Chris

Nobody is giving them a first round pick for a former 2nd overall pick turned bust.

A bust how? A bust as a 2nd overall pick? Sure he hasnt lived up to being a 2nd overall pick. A bust in general as a capable NHL hockey player, absolutely not.

Might not want to get that thrilled. Lindholm, like Zib, is trending in the wrong direction.

That's how. His 82 game average over 5 season is 15 goals per season.

I put that all on him no longer wanting to be in Calgary. Hes not the 40 goal guy of 2 years ago, but I think hes definitely a 25g, 60-65pt player who is a solid 2-way, 200ft player.

Ok, thats fine... that doesnt mean he cant play hockey at an NHL level. Youre fed up that a 2nd overall pick isnt playing like a 2nd overall pick. Im saying there are GMs out there who will happily take a 22 year old kid with above average defensive ability who averaging 15 goals a season, and think they can do better than the Rangers.

Not for a first round pick they wouldn't. Especially a team that would be in lottery contention.

I agree with that. Sometimes the teams state of affairs bleeds into a players game. I don’t think Kakko would be in that deal tho. Signing Lindholm isn’t out of the question either.
