Wrong. Vlad comes back as RW1, LAF stays RW2, Kakko goes to RW3, and Wheeler is scratched. Thats the only acceptable result.

You misspelled waived.

Yup. Let someone overpay for one of our players for once. Replace Miller with a low cost vet and hope Robertson or someone else in pipeline can step up next year Also trade Jones. No future here. Biggest issue will be to NOT resign Lindgren. Can't pay him what he will want/deserve as a FA

If were not going to resign Lindgren, then we need to get a defenseman who will step into his role. In THAT CASE...

What do you guys think about trading Schneider and a 1st for Hanifin and Tanev?

So you want edge and want to get rid of one of the few who bring it? Lol. He’s 25 yrs old. He’s got one more contract in him

Hanifin is a pending UFA, we would need to resign him to make this trade worth it. He will probably get like 7.5m per.

It wont be crazy. 4.5 max. Do 4 years. I mean they could trade him since he’s an RFA but I don’t see it with him. Hes the glue imo or a huge part of it

I think the D in general is having a bad year s due to new systems and stuff. Takes a year to really figure it out.

The d looked fantastic the first 30 games. I don't buy that excuse at all

I agree with this. I dont buy the "new system" excuse. If it was an issue, then it would have been an issue at the beginning of the year.

Let’s trade the whole D corp lol

The forwards have something to do with it. The goalie has something to do with it. Not scoring enough has something to do with it. It’s all cumulative why they’ve struggled and makes the d look worse then it is, just don’t think it’s fair to pin everything on them

If Vlad comes back, keeping kakko as 2 RW isn't too bad. Wheeler to 3rd. Get Vlad for a 2nd rounder and mid level prospect. He holds all the cards so Ott. Can't expect too much in return. Trade Miller or Schneider and another pick for a 3c with some term. Add a veteran dman.
- rrentz

You are assuming Vlad wants to come back here

What we doing with Laf?

Gun to my head, I have zero problems with Kakko on 3RW (I’ll live with the frustration)…I just have a strong feeling he’s getting traded. Probably for 2 guys

Well thank god youre not the GM of the Rangers.

Heres the problem with your trades, you have no idea what your players are worth. For you, it really is like taking a handful of crap, throwing it at a wall and seeing what sticks. That trade with Nashville is moronic.

What you need to do before you ever make a trade is determine what your players are worth. If you announced to the league that we are selling and KAM is available for trade, what do you think we could get? For a 24 year old, easily top 4, potentially a top 2 defenseman, who just last year had over 40 pts, over 100 blocks and over 150 hits? Two 1st round picks? Now would you trade two 1st round picks for McDonagh and Evangelista because they "fill gaps"? You know what else fills gaps? Dildo's. Atleast when someone gets fkd by a dildo they get off at the end.

I don't think it's exaggerating to say that the Huberdeau contract in Calgary may be the worst contract in the history of sports

all of them

and I don't think it's particularly close

so, congrats to Calgary for getting a good deal for Lindholm but OMG they are sooooooo screwed for sooooooo long

Seth Jones contract is a close second

Quoted the wrong thing. This is on Kakko:

I never said that it can or cant be done with one trade. My argument is that you dont trade young studs for plugs. Regardless of how people feel about Kakko, he is a fully capable NHL player. The fact that people cant get over the fact that he hasnt lived up to his full potential of a 2nd overall pick is irrelevant. People are bitter, and no one on the Rangers organization nor Kakko really care what expectations you set for him. His offensive numbers suck, but his defensive ones dont. We always say, "watch us trade Kakko and in the hands of another coach/training staff he will go off". Yet we sit here and berate him. If thats the mindset you have, then he clearly doesnt suck and the everyones issues are directed in the wrong place.

Evangelista isn’t a “plug” 🤦

Kakko can’t skate. Just watch him and how difficult it is for him getting up and down the ice. It’s probably the singular reason they’re even thinking of trading him.

I bet you if they redrafted today he wouldn’t even go in the top 10, maybe not even top 15

Here’s 8 definites that go ahead of him:
Caufield
Seider
Cozens
Zegras
Boldy
Harley
Holmstrom
Pinto
Maybes: Turcotte. Byram. Newhook. Dach. York. McMicheal. Kaliyev.

That’s 15 and I bet everyone of them beat him in a foot race

During the all-star game, it was mentioned that the Rangers were interested in getting Vatrano back. I wonder if theyre trying to swing some deal involving Kakko.
