Any chance Nashville would retain 3 years on McDonagh? Miller would have to go in that trade tho. McDonagh makes 6 something million but it just a thought as I looked at the preds

No thanks. I dont want a 34 year old McDonagh back at the cost of Miller.

We know what we would get in McDonough. I’d be all for it and is an additional mentor to young d-men, and has won a cup. Knows what it takes.

Retaining on 3 years is alot tho. BUT if they got miller back it would be about the same amount on their cap, like 500k more so you split the difference

The biggest hole is 3C. It will literally cost us any chance at a cup. It has to be filled

3C and 1RW is virtually impossible to acquire without giving up something that creates another hole. So then you look where the rental market have alot of guys, and to me it’s RW.

There will be turnover and it’s chance you have to take sometimes and they’re aren’t mailing in the season that’s for sure so it’s gonna happen

If Vlad comes back, keeping kakko as 2 RW isn't too bad. Wheeler to 3rd. Get Vlad for a 2nd rounder and mid level prospect. He holds all the cards so Ott. Can't expect too much in return. Trade Miller or Schneider and another pick for a 3c with some term. Add a veteran dman.

All that trade shows me is you have no clue what Miller and Kakko are worth.

Here I am saying the only way I trade Miller is for Hanifin + contract, and here you are trading Miller for McDonagh and Evangelista...? Seriously? You sure youre still not drunk from last week?

Wrong. Vlad comes back as RW1, LAF stays RW2, Kakko goes to RW3, and Wheeler is scratched. Thats the only acceptable result.

What we doing with Laf?

Gun to my head, I have zero problems with Kakko on 3RW (I’ll live with the frustration)…I just have a strong feeling he’s getting traded. Probably for 2 guys

I closed every hole 🤷🏻‍♂️signing Novak and getting probably a better D man at the present time, and a 21 yd old 3RW

I’d have a very hard time turning that deal down. Very hard time

Kakko should stay. Still have hope for him. Miller just seems off. Think teams will over pay for Miller. Has all the tools, but missing something between the ears

Well thank god youre not the GM of the Rangers.

Heres the problem with your trades, you have no idea what your players are worth. For you, it really is like taking a handful of crap, throwing it at a wall and seeing what sticks. That trade with Nashville is moronic.

What you need to do before you ever make a trade is determine what your players are worth. If you announced to the league that we are selling and KAM is available for trade, what do you think we could get? For a 24 year old, easily top 4, potentially a top 2 defenseman, who just last year had over 40 pts, over 100 blocks and over 150 hits? Two 1st round picks? Now would you trade two 1st round picks for McDonagh and Evangelista because they "fill gaps"? You know what else fills gaps? Dildo's. Atleast when someone gets fkd by a dildo they get off at the end.

Yup. Let someone overpay for one of our players for once. Replace Miller with a low cost vet and hope Robertson or someone else in pipeline can step up next year Also trade Jones. No future here. Biggest issue will be to NOT resign Lindgren. Can't pay him what he will want/deserve as a FA

Theres nothing wrong with liking Evangelista and Novak, but you dont know what your players are worth and throw them around like stationaries.

So were gonna trade Miller, not resign Lindgren, trade Jones, hope to god that Robertson is serviceable, and use plugs for LD?

FFS.

Well..not saying all at once, but with exception of Miller..he can still turn it around, Jones is gonna be traded and NO Lidgren can't be resigned for the $$/term he will demand.

Fox, trouba, Schneider, Miller (maybe) are only men who will be around next season. Lindgren and Gustafson are gone..Unless either come on the cheap...doubtful. Rangerland gonna get kicked in the balls very soon, unless Drury makes some good hockey moves and Cap friendly deals. If he goes all in this deadline, NYR is fuuuuucked next year

Luke and Kakko ave about the same goals per game so far. He’s cheaper and faster

And I get a center. Novak is going to cost a lot for someone to get it’s not some hidden thing.

The problem you, and many others have, is overrating Kakko. He sucks. He can’t freakin skate. The only way he’ll be any good is like Dave Andrychuk was, plant himself near the crease and get garbage goals. He has no other way to score. And I’m tired of hearing “well he plays good defense”…it’s just an excuse to not trade him for someone better. That is not what I asked for in a 2OA guy
