You'll get Kyle Okposo and like it
- eichiefs9

Is he still in the league?

No argument but the two are not mutually exclusive which is the problem
- airjan23

I believe if they had a crystal ball knowing Chytil would be out all season like this they’d have bought him out. It’s a must this off season tho. This day and age, and since he can no longer fill in the top 9 in a pinch, you can’t have 4th line guys making 4 million bucks. This was the argument against Jesper Fast, if I recall, years ago and it was only 2 something million then. Because it causes the same roster problems/roster construction issues

You guys think a 1st, 5th, Sykora and Robertson/Jones would be enough to pry Jenner from CBJ?

Jenner is my favorite of everyone lol just seems like the longest shot of all of them. Although I did see/hear him potentially getting moved. He really is wasting away there. He’d be so much more beneficial on a playoff contender

Letting Fast go was a major failure especially since he only got 150K more than his prior contract.

Some of the decisions made between 2019 and 2021 are just... mind bending.

Organizationally who is rated higher you think, Berard or Sykora? Because the other guy could be one prospect on the move imo. Because they are wingers. I’m going to assume Othmann and Perrault are untouchables

Sykora maybe, but Berard is definitely making a solid case for himself.

Sigh

I loved Jesper. My point was you can’t pay bottom 6 guys million”S” of dollars in this day and age. It’s a recipe for disaster. More specifically 4th liners

i'd think the kid being tossed around multiple teams and not sticking is probably because he's not great and your view of him is just wrong

I mean he's not great, sure. But he has size and speed. Plus he draws penalties an very good clip. Would gladly take him back over Wheeler and Goodrow.

Cost of living in Carolina is MUCH LESS than living in NYC, so it actually was quite a bit more than 150K...

They could have signed him before he got to free agency. They had a misperception of what his cost would be.
