What exactly has kakko done to make you think hes worth more than lindholm? Lol
- LFS

I didnt say he was, just saying we would appreciate some retention on Lindholm if Kakko is a target for them.

I'd be fascinated by in depth study on him. Never seen a guy go from 115 points to 55 points.
- blacksheep1

I’m convinced if you see a guys game start to depreciate it because of speed. Combo of him getting slower, and the game getting faster. It’s gonna be at point someday where if you can’t keep up with the pace you won’t be in the NHL. Defensemen is probably a little different where size will keep you in the league, but forwards will need to be fast. Maybe that’s Huberdeaus problem, and to a certain extent, Kakkos. And look at Laf, he got faster and now he’s better.

To be fair I’m basing this theory a lot because of those two guys we have

Laf was 100% confidence related. When you have confidence you move more. Look at how aggressive he's been, when you have low confidence you don't do half the stuff he's doing this year for fear of (frank)ing up and being benched

Berard might be our version of Tolvanen, my only concern with him is hes a bit on the small side weight wise. Theyre both about the same height, except Tolvanen has like 25-30lbs on Berard.

Former scout Vanessa Kezwer destroys the topic. Long read, but every point is valid.

What happened to Dube? He seemed to be trending in the right direction year after year and all of a sudden he's hit a wall.

Age 24 vs. 21.
Tolvanen has been a pro athlete for 3 extra years. That's probably 90% of it.

As people like to point point stats, they speak for themselves. If we got Kakko to produce like Dube was, the complaining wouldnt be so bad.

Oh crap, was he on that list, totally missed that. Was still having a pretty down year compared to his previous years.

Probably had something to do with his mental status regarding the investigation.

Yea I was looking at some stats of those guys and Dube really struggled. McLoed was pretty good, hart about how he usually is. Foote hadn’t played much to judge

Fwiw, they’re all denying any wrong doing saying it was consensual. Should be a tough time getting a jury if that’s what they do up there. Like it’s a national story and how many haven’t heard of it

When something like this doesnt come out right away and coincidentally happens 5 years later when theyre all pros making millions, I begin to doubt the validity of it.

What do their millions have to do with it this is a criminal case

Cause these cases always end up going to some sort of cash settlement. Girl gets paid, they dont go to jail... the hay-day of the 'me too movement' wasnt that long ago.

Supposedly it was reported late, they settled monetarily out of court. The victim dropped it after that. They decided it would look like a cover up if it ever came out that they just paid out and settled, even though the criminal case was already closed, and re-opened it.

Shouldnt the players then get their money back?

In all seriousness though, that sounds like a whole hot mess of crap with all this out there and then reopening the case. How can this be taken seriously?

Chris Drury getting beaten to the punch by 80 year old Jim Rutherford is a TOUGH look.
