Well, all I have to say about that is DUH! Embarrassing.

but just going back to him...

his money and Chyti's even out, and if Chytil isn't playing ever again, which to me seems like a great possibility, then it works for this year and following three seasons using LTIR

Meh we’ve all been there. He was in Colorado so you’re just a few years behind

What do we know about McConnell barker? Korczak? Promising still? These are prospects we probably should avoid moving on from. Edstrom too unless he’s just a one game wonder. I can’t remember a worse time for us at center. Like when we had Stepan, Dubie, anismov, etc..we had hope for the future there

Bryce McConnell-Barker's junior stats have taken a dip this year, not a good sign for his 3rd junior season

Korczak looks like a guy who will be AHL for awhile

It’s strange seeing a guy like him w/o a NTC.

Nashville in general doesn’t hand many of them out.

I would say that if either one became a full time NHLer, I'd be happy. I'd say they are probably C level prospects at best.

I’d draft only centers at least this year, maybe even the next two years. Sprinkle in some dmen. I know it doesn’t work that way but it’s definitely a problem not being able to rely on a kid at that position within the next 4-5 years. It’s in some people’s view the most important position in NHL to have a lot at your disposal and without Chytil it’s even more magnified how weak we are

Center Adam Fantilli is expected to be sidelined for eight weeks due to a calf laceration.

Get well soon Adam!

I'm amazed guys don't get cut more often given the skate technology and speed now.

We have a lot of holes to fill on this team. 3C, RW, 4th line, LD, defensive depth.

Been watching some tape on Kakko today. Can anyone elaborate a bit on his lack of assists this season?

He set up a great chance at the start of the game against Vegas.

If you look at his high-danger and game-score charts and cross-reference them with his career sh%, you can actually see that the lack of assists is derived mainly from the fact that he stinks

A quick look at the line tool on Money Puck says that he had pretty good analytic results with Kreider and Zibanejad. Is the Brodz Cuylle line just too meat and potatoes for Kaako?

the Rangers suffer from an extreme lack of finishing ability since early December

hard to get assists when guys cant put it in

plus, Kakko doesn't get much powerplay time

That’s why I don’t want them to have a mind of going for it. Way too many things to fix at a trading dead line. Maybe pick up a cheap centre iceman and be done with it. Hope I’m wrong and they go on a run this year but way to many holes for a run

And he doesn't generate offense for himself or his line mates. Heed a play driver.

He also skates like a dead elephant. Not even a living one if this kid ever got some speed in his feet he could be really good. Never effortless skating, it’s so hard for him to get up and down the ice

Just got into an argument on CF over this trade... what do ya'll think...

Kakko for Xhekaj, 2024 3rd round pick.

Would I take this at face value, probably not, but I think it could be a starting point to something.

32 thoughts already shot this down. Teams called on Xhekaj. Habs said no.
