So what happens IF they find out they are innocent and she lied ? Not one person is considering she got caught having sex with a group of soon to be rich guys and now is embarrassed about it ? I’m not saying either way all I know is if these guys are innocent or not they are marked for life. For once it would be nice to see one of these girls that lies about this sh*t be held accountable and tossed in jail for the lie. Like I said I won’t assume till the trial starts and I hear both sides so maybe less assumptions and more waiting to hear the whole story before rendering judgement.

But why? I feel we have all been accused of something from time to time only to be vindicated. If the court finds them not guilty, why crush the kids even more. This court of public opinion has far reached its limit. Enough is enough. We can all agree it is a crappy situation for all parties involved. And poopting on someone and their career if they are found not guilty is sending the wrong message. If we are going to crush them regardless, then why have a court system in the first place.
Maybe the boys are telling the truth, maybe they are not. Maybe the girl is lying, maybe she is not. We don't know. If they are found guilty, then yes, their careers are over. If they are innocent, then they should be allowed to continue. Hell, if Evander Kane is allowed to continue playing, get my point.

Hockey Canada lawyers looked at the proof and said "pay her, otherwise we're cooked". And now to police did a thorough investigation and are about to lay charges. But yeah, this is just a big lie.

This court is probably going to drag out for 2-3 years at least, so until the final verdicts, these kids are hooped. If they are found not guilty, they still will be tarnished. Although Hart probably will get signed by the Oilers as they like the bad boys on their team.

Or they could grant him a personal leave of absence for mental health, then claim they had no idea he was about to be charged with a sexual assault claim that everyone else in the world saw coming. Something about people in glass houses and stones...

Yes the Oilers have granted some players second chances Ala MacTavish, Kane, Kassian, and Perry. And I'd agree most people are deserving of second chances. But to blatantly lie and claim they had no idea one of their players had some shade in their past and attempt to sweep it under the rug is another thing. And your flames aren't exactly clean on controversial situations in the past. Gilmour, Hull, many coaches...

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for these players to be exonerated. Hockey Canada already paid her a multi million dollar settlement on a civil suit and the Hockey Canada executive was fired over this.

Yes to try sweep it under the rug cause like I said guilty or not this looks very bad for hockey Canada and that’s why they paid her in my opinion / I don’t have a opinion either way yet , I also heard there is evidence to prove them all innocent so I won’t draw judgement just yet

Interesting trade proposal posted today:

https://www.nhltraderumor...rs-proposed-colorado.html

Also saw Rangers have Lindholm as their top trade target & was speculated Kakko & their 2024 1st for Lindholm (probably some retained salary I would imagine)

Which one would you lean toward?

Can't see the Ave's giving that much up for a down season Lindy while they're hoping Landeskog may be back too. I could see 2 of those plaus a bit piece, bit not all 3.

Also the rumors I heard about the Rags surround Jones +, not Kakko.

Again its speculation like everything else but this is where I saw it

https://www.spectorshocke...mor-mill-january-31-2024/

So its a down year for counting numbers. He's still a bonafide #2 on 95% of teams in the league & probably #1 C on a handful of others. His defensive game has always been his forti & his faceoff %'s are around 54-55%. Look who we have for him to play with? We have zero 1st line wingers to play with him anymore once Gaudreau & Tkachuk left. If this guy is what a team thinks will push them on a deep playoff run, they will pay the price as the clock starts to tick to the trade deadline.

Ive read many rumours where Monahan is expected to net a 1st +. Jesus Ive watched Monahan play for many years, he is not a speed demon, he's just a very cerebral sniper & knows where to be & has a decent faceoff percentage as well. Except he has a lot of health baggage that comes with him. Lindholm is pretty durable.

Okay return. They didn't handcuff the future by re-signing him for huge money..that's a win.

Excellent return & even better was Tanev not included. Wonder if Canucks are in on him too, will probably take one of their real good prospects from that Swedish WJ team.

OK return, was a very good return. 2024 1st, 2024 conditional 4th, Kuzmenko who scored 39 goals last year & is a RW. How long have we been whining about a RW that can score. That D prospect RHD sounds pretty decent & needed for our pipeline as well.

We better not hold on to Kuzmenko and flip him for more assets at the TDL with salary retained. Then the total return would be great.

Boy did we ever need some decent D prospects in our pipeline. Both were picked in 2023 & in that draft word was that players picked in the 3rd round were equivalent to 2nd rounders in most other draft years. We get a bit of runway with Kuzmenko. Let see what he does here. Heck if he starts clicking his value could be really high & parlay the return. But I doubt Conroy does that, he'll try to extend him more than likely.
That conditional 4th evidently will turn into a 3rd if Canucks make the Conference final.

Apparently he was a fan fave. Stuck in a sophomore slump learning a new system.
