I will say though, nothing could get a bunch of guys back on the same page then to bring back a couple guys that used to play here with a couple of the core guys. I almost feel like, with Chytil likely done, the team is destined to make a trade with STL to bring back Buchnevich and Hayes.
I also wonder, kill me if you want cause this one is a definite long shot since they just extended him before the season started, but could maybe Zucc could be an option? Bring the band back together. I dont think the Wild/Guerin ever thought they would be this bad. |

We need to do nothing, this isn’t a winning team. We’ll be wasting picks and prospects to get bounced in the 1st round. |

Hes not wrong in that we need to make some changes/trades, however the amount of positions that require addressing could be too much to handle in one season/deadline. - aecliptic
I’ve actually been leaning that way just seeing how difficult it would be to get enough help. I mentioned it last week |

It’s getting hard to argue against that.
But Kaliyev I’m killed for lol it’s like just get a shooting RW for the future for (frank)s sake. He needs a new opportunity, he said it himself.
He costs 894k
Here’s one scouting report:
“Kaliyev has an elite release. He catches pucks and directs them on goal accurately and efficiently. Not a burner in open ice. Not a transition threat.”
And another:
"Shoot-first winger who knows how to find the back of the net. Somewhat one-dimensional but that dimension is spectacular. Changes the release point and angle to exploit netminders. Protects the puck well."
Yet another:
" He can score goals no doubt, with 51 in the OHL this season. But is his effort and play away from the puck consistent enough? Debate amongst yourselves."
I’ve been DESTROYED all day for suggesting something so dumb🤷🏻♂️ |

2 games for trouba. Out of all of the plays that he’s made. Idk. I’m so apathetic towards the team right now it’s hard to care about this - picklerick
Same.
Forgot we are playing Ottawa tonight and couldn't care less. I'll still watch though despite expecting another lackluster effort leading to another loss. |

Agreed. Unless they get out of this slump, and fast, no reason to bolster a losing team. |

If Chytil was coming back and was healthy, I’d say maybe you make a few changes and anything can happen in the playoffs. But that’s not the case, and needing a 3C, 3rd pair dman, RW etc is to much to address and just a waste of picks/prospects |

Exactly!! Before I start throwing away picks and prospects, first and foremost is to fix Igor so he can start making some saves again!!! |

Big jump form the OHL to the NHL and in 174 games, he still hasnt figured it out yet. .195 goals per game doesnt stand out.
Id trade a 3rd round pick for him. Thats it

I'm very pro trade. But not the way you all want it.
Is this team toughet then a group of idiots (myself included, I say that with love) on the internet? Yes
Are they tougher than most of their collective peers? Hell no.
Tear it down, let the core rot and try to rebuild it the right way. |

What’s funny is I’m not even sure they’d do it for Kakko lol I’d pick him at the airport for a 3rd rd pick
This is the part that’s frustrating from my perspective…he a kid just like Schneider. In 3 years all I hear is Schneider will be this and Schneider will be that. Ok fine. But another kid in a completely different organization, playing a completely different position, with a completely different skill set couldn’t possibly do the exact same thing?
It’s me. It has to be. Just say it ffs |

The D-pairs without Lindgren and Trouba are hysterical. This is gonna be a dumpster fire. |

I think the toll of playing so undermanned for so long has caught up to them, and in a big and very bad way. The break should help, rest up and grind. Players have to be better no doubt, really everyone. Top to bottom they have to be better. If they aren’t then heads will roll next off season |

This team ain't getting better trading for journeyman they need top end players. That can't be done in season. Leave the prospects and picks alone. |

Physical dman, maybe mix things up a bit. Not the worst thing for this team right now. They should call up Rempe also just because haha
