The Rangers have a history of picking up rentals at the deadline. So it isn't outside the realm. Rentals either re-sign or become free cap space. Chityl comes back and worst case scenario is Lindholm becomes a top 6 winger that can take draws.

The thing with Kakko is he if he isn't top 6 then he gets lost pretty quickly in the Canucks lineup. Part of our great record is our bottom 6 has been really solid this season. Your 1st rounder will be later. Probably around the same range as our existing pick if the standings hold.

I'm sure you'll find a couple guys on here that will like that deal though.

Wouldn't a guy like Lindholm be a better fit with the Rangers? Right handed C that can play wing. Plays good D and can score. I'm thinking Calgary might be more interested in a deal along these lines more than the Canucks.

Are you that surprised? One player was drafted 5th overall and the other was an undrafted scrub from the ECHL who worked his way up to play with first ballot hall of fame twins.

I agree, they should've made the 5th overall pick in the world earn his way up the lineup like the did an undrafted, hard working, ECHL/roller hockey prodigy. That would make perfect sense lol.

Not really, it just seems to all be happening so fast for the kid, he's an unbelievably gifted offensive player. His hockey sense is off the charts, he's actually not an extremely gifted physical specimen, as in, a really strong skater or physically strong like MacKinnon, he just has great hockey IQ and he's really got control of his stick with the puck on it and his positioning.

Anyway. Seems like he just got here and he's top 20 in Canucks scoring already, that's what surprises me. If he scores 40 more points this year he'll be top 10 all-time in Canucks scoring history.
