If I had to chose between Sam R and Petey, my answer would piss off a lot of fans.

I don't believe Petey will walk but I don't see PA locking into a stupid long term cap unfriendly deal. I would not be surprised to see a one year deal under 11 mil and then shopped.

My gut is PA is playing Money Ball and will find good deals. I don't think he is going to lock into high cap, long term signings.

I am not a huge fan of Petey at center and think a cheaper guy like Reinhart or someone else is in discussion. I like Petey but the price needs to be right. Yes he scored 100 pts but MIller is a better center and will score 100 pts at four mil a year less. Money Ball.

Moneyball indeed. I too like Miller as a C over Petey. Just a better play driver. Petey is ok at C but needs a very good winger to compliment him & they are pricey. I like Sammy but don’t see it happening. I like a run at Stephenson as a UFA & some other ideas I’ve in mind.

I don't like Hronek's defensive game. I think he is a decent all around player and very good in the other teams zone.

On Hronek he’s a great add but Hughes makes him better & that alone he gets discounted accordingly being less than 8m. He hasn’t been the man in a pairing or he’d make the 2nd both good & dangerous. Another partner can be had for Hughes imo.
