I’ve looked at next years cap many times & there is a ton of work to do & decisions to make & not just about Petey & Hronek. There has to be some give for some UFA’s to keep them around. Fair contracts but maybe not top market $. Highly likely at least 1 is not returning. Lots depends on Kuz & how he does given his cap hit. ELC’s coming up just too hard to speculate on or have high expectations.

I can handle trolls but gotta laugh if that’s all they got. Hiding behind a keyboard is a pu$$y move if that’s all they do to join a blog for. No game

I sense a break up of the Lotto line is coming. Maybe RT waits until the restart in a couple of weeks but I wouldnt be surprised if sooner.

Ahl or NHL, it's still a team with a disgusting legacy.

Usually coaches wait for a losing streak of sorts but Tocchet has been hinting at it.

Figuring on that also. Started to fizzle a bit of late after the huge bump. Probably see them together in game here & there as the game play or score dictates.

We haven’t really had any losing streaks besides waiting for one isn’t what I want from a coach. It’s fluid & happens when needed.

When I watched Likker in the WJC he was more than one dimensional. He wasn't only a guy who can shoot. He created plays and he mixed it up. I look at him much like Boeser and his start.

Likker may play in Abby but I would not be surprised to see skip right by Jail and start off at Go. Again I see him much like a Boeser and I think he is going to put some of these narratives to bed that he is lazy and one dimensional.

As far as cap I will say what I have said for the last five years. Don't worry about the cap. I would be very surprised to see Kuz or Mik on the team next year. One might even not last the entire year here.

You guys said the OEL penalty was going to hurt but when you have players like Hog Juulsen Suter Dakota playing well above their pay scale, that penalty won't matter at all.

So many things can go wrong next year and in the summer with so many UFAs, that a few of them might not be here next year. You take your shot when it is right in front of you.

Not only do the Canucks have a very good roster now but the rest of the league is playing under the same conditions and struggling to find cap relief and are not as strong as in past years. IMO this is a great year to blow your load.

I read how most of you feel but I think you are wrong.

All good with me but I take exception to OEL’s cap hit doesn’t hurt. Year 3 & 4 are yet to come & it WILL hurt don’t kid yourself. Those 2 years is pretty much stagnant cap years when it rises absorbing the 4.77m & has to be factored in looking at the future & who gets resigned for how much. Petey & Hronek WILL get paid. After that is where you haven’t acknowledged it WILL matter.

Carter Hart has asked for a leave of absence.

Dube yesterday Hart today. Must be some progress with the investigation of the Can WJC team. Yes this is speculation only.

Carter Hart and Dillon Dube, both members of junior Team Canada 2018, have taken leaves from their NHL teams. Might be just a coincidence, unrelated, but it appears as though some kind of ruling on the sexual assault scandal may be coming shortly.

I will bet Willander is here playing on a ELC.

Petey and Hronek will be paid but by who?

Yes but doesn’t erase 4.77m it has to go further on very shrewd signings to fill gaps.

As for Petey I’m not speculating he’s moved. On Hronek I think it’s going to be a grinded out negotiation.

Let the people who know what they are doing worry about the cap.

Do you really think they missed what will happen in those years? Luckily there were no floods this summer and they are fully aware of what lies ahead and how to handle it.

I rather let you put forward some ideas being it was you championing his long buyout lol

Of course PA will do something about it no doubt. He’s no dummy.

I see some 3yr term coming for some of our UFA’s. Team cost certainty player security. Who & how many well that is up to PA.

I resign Joshua for 3yrs.
Probably Lafferty.
Going to need to get them on fair deals for both team & for them.

I don't know what I have to put together. I don't see a problem you do.

First of all the cap will go up 4 mil this year and probably 3 the following year. They will have at least one maybe 2 ELC Dmen playing by the time his penalty max hits.

Bikini Emilee will figure it out.

The nice thing is that there isn't any glaring holes on the team.
It actually feels weird looking for upgrades and depth. I'm still adjusting to this 'new' Canucks team.

- Marwood

Normally around this time a year we go on a heater to (frank) up our draft position.

Did I say problem?
Do you hear problem?

I said challenge & work to do & tough decisions. Context ok

The cap is going up 5% the max by the cba. 4.175m
Every following year likely 5% as well which will be incrementally more. Yes ELC’s will be ready to play but there are other raises to come. Not worried or see a problem.

Sam Reinhart would be a very nice piece to target this summer. Convince him to bring a the Cup to Vancouver. Local hero.
