I wouldn't mind seeing a top 6 forward added, preferably a C and a bottom 6 grinder/crusher and another D for depth.
I've never been impressed with Mikheyev, he's not detrimental but he's also not a great asset, just skates fast. I wish they traded Kuzmenko last deadline or at the draft when his value was seemingly high.

Ideally Miky a 3rd liner but the 3rd line is smoking along. Also a pricey 3rd liner. If Kuz was gone & Miky that’s big holes for the 2nd line.

Next season that line could look entirely different.

Nothing against either Kuz or Miky but 10.45m for both needs more production. Lots of season is left & we’ll need it from them for the PO’s.

I think Miky will show more of his worth in the playoffs. He's also on the PK, which is turning the corner. He might get moved in the offseason, but I think he's fine for now.

If you trade Kuzy and Miky, that's 2/3 of a line change (plus knock on), which when the team chemistry is this good you don't want to mess with too much IMO

If they got someone like Henrique to put between Kuzy and Miky, and then slide Suter down between Hog and Lafferty, that would be decent.

Looking through CF, there aren't that many 24-29 year old centers to target that are on bad teams with some contract left that they would realistically part with.

Mikheyev can forecheck which comes in handy he just doesn't belong top 6. Kuz to me is another guy that can score which also comes in handy during the playoffs, particularly if someone gets injured.

It would be nice to be in a position where we can have several players that can suit up and play depending on the circumstances. Deep teams usually advance in the playoffs.

I know it's unrealistic but I think one or the other will be moved.

The nice thing is that there isn't any glaring holes on the team.
It actually feels weird looking for upgrades and depth. I'm still adjusting to this 'new' Canucks team.

Thought on him some. Price?
Henrique seems a good fit. Price?

TDL aside gotta keep our blue chippers & Brzust as well. His offence is looking hot & develop his D for down the road as D ages out.
Pod well he’s coming along too early in the NHL & recent injuries aside he’s cost control & cheap. Minyio is very intriguing & wouldn’t wanna move him either. Alriksson is another cheap ELC we can wait in & see how he develops. So picks are the currency I can see used for the TDL.

Miky is a good 3rd wheel if he has a legit C & scoring winger on his line. His 4.95m isn’t cheap so PA has work to do. Kuz is a nice option & he could be a dark horse in the PO’s scoring important goals & PP specialist. Good puck skills just play smarter & not turn it over.

Agree it comes to that with all of the other F’s pegged in good spots & producing. Good times when this is the challenge 👍

I’ve gotta say it’s nice to see Marwood enjoying Canuck hockey again. Good to see our team making noise with a bright present & future. It was a long stretch of dark times that tested any fans resolve. JR & PA et al have gotten the fanbase back in a huge way. In RT Foote Gonchar & Yeo we trust.

I’m totally fine with 2-0 games. Sign of a very good team & PO tough. High scoring teams inflate contracts to stupid levels. Pay for winning not stats. Biggest contract if both.

BobFather 32nd prospect

Dean Letourneau 6’6” 209lb C

Anyone any thoughts on him for us? Granted we still own the pick.

I can handle trolls but gotta laugh if that’s all they got. Hiding behind a keyboard is a pu$$y move if that’s all they do to join a blog for. No game

Suter Likker and Guentz will be a good line.

A 3/4rth line centre, an unexperienced rookie... one legit top 6 scorer... maybe... maybe not a good line.

I really don't think Likker is ready for the NHL with this standard set by RT... especially thrown into a top 6 role in the playoffs with only a few AHL games under his belt since that's where he's headed when his season ends. I mean, he only just developed into a dominant Junior player this season.

If they do make this trade, the Canucks most likely wouldnt be able to afford to extend Guentz if they keep both Petey and Hronek. There's that as well.

Whether PA takes a home run swing or go for a double the incoming F has to be a natural fit. Not a liability in any way. Can skate well & not 1 dimensional. Even better if could be a good resigning if doesn’t come with term. Not sure I’d want a rental unless a cup was nearly guaranteed. Big ask I know lol
