Addresses the 2 biggest playoff needs. Big mean dman and a Big C that can play up and down the lineup, and in all situations. Monahan is UFA so no retention next year unless he signs cheap, and Jackeye is a monster kid that is cost controlled. - carsonagenic
I like the kid and he is 22. He could be mentored by Zadorov. One thing I like about big Z is his swagger. Dresses for success and answers the bell. Something this team hasn't had for years.
Bring this kid in and sign him under a mil for 3 years and let him grow. I really think Canucks are going to have a new look next year. A lot of players on the move.

Fair, the player made the choice there, but at the time a lot of people were saying they made out really well on the trade with what they got in return. It all promptly turned to shit though - NorthNuck
I liked Weegar & his resigning but 10.5m for a winger who did it for Florida he could only live up to that. It had no upside in the slightest. |

Big mean D is already in place. He’s not exactly an improvement & ready for these playoffs. Depth yes - Nighthawk
We are already down Soucy, 1 more injury and then....

I think Allvin would trade him before he ever signed him to a 1 year deal. His value would lessen if he's just walking himself into FA. Trading him lets another team try to sign him to a long term contract.
I think Petey does a 4 year deal. Sort of ties him to this core. Lets him get another massive contract at 29 – either still with the Canucks or as a UFA at that point. - NewYorkNuck
That would be fine. It would carry him through the cup window that appears to be opening. |

Who's available around pick 50-60? That's where we can expect Van to make their first pick. - NorthNuck
Only if trading down from the 1st round. We’ve no 2nd this draft. |

Fantilli/Johnson/2024 1st
Yes or No? - Nighthawk
Put down the pipe.
Columbus laughs and hangs up the phone.
They’d probably wouldn’t do Fantilli straight up. |

Fair enough. Your points are valid about the one year deal.

100%
The kid has hands the size of Lefty's chubby head, and can skate. Work with that. |

Great add for the playoffs, problem at least in Calgary was he didn’t stop speaking.

I can't say I have enjoyed a Canucks D like this in years. Big and tough and there is definitely skill in the other end also.
I was embarrassed at the start of the year when Juulsen sucked and I was pumping his tires in the summer. He is now playing where I thought his level was at. I would say the same about XHEKAJ. Proper coaching and this kid will be a very good add.

I like that in a player. JTM is never shy to call people out.
"Get up you're embarrassing yourself "to Juolevi was my favorite.

Trading away a top 10 forward is never a good idea. Look what happened to Calgary.
It's so insane to consider moving your best forward while the team is in 1st place in the league - NorthNuck
