Just read on X that the Oilers have won an NHL record 13 games in a row and only gained one point on the Canucks. The boys have been pretty consistent all year long, people should be believing by now.

Canadian team record you dumbass Yankee 🤪

FYI up here ice isn’t only good for drinks.

There it is!
Perry to the Oilers!
Dube takes break from team to attend to his mental health.

1st up change his surname. Any American reading it thinks he’s a pothead.

I never really ever understood the need or reason behind anthems. Represent one’s country is the exception like Olympics gold medal winner(s). Hockey is Canada or US anthems not Swede or Finn etc. idgaf about what country a pro team is from. Worst or funniest ever I know of were an MLB allstar game US colour guard on the field with both the US & Canada flags. Ours was upside down. You telling me NOBODY noticed this? US military that effin dumb they only know 1 flag in the world? C’mon lol
Next is I think it was a CFL game in Sacramento when there US teams in the CFL. American buddy singing O Canada sang it to O Tannenbaum. All he got was the O right. Moving on to the now I’ve thought back that must’ve been that ex patriot Lefty.

Do away with the anthems altogether.

It wasn’t the anthem it was native drum beats to some words I’ve never heard 😆 is thats our future anthem in cancel culture?

A lot of the good teams, playoff good teams, are struggling mid season right now. Except the Canucks. Vegas, LA, Rangers, etc. are all blah right now, but don’t be fooled, those bigger, heavier, teams like those three will be ready come playoff time.

Hopefully the Canucks continue to add because I think they have a shot at it this year, which in and of itself is amazing considering where they were 18 months ago. Zadorov was a great pickup for Allvin, he played well last night, as did Hronek.

- Pacificgem

JB flipped the switch off went the lights.
Allvin flipped the switch on went the lights.
FA isn’t so cheap he wouldn’t pay that bill.

RT hired & shone lots of light on turning the team on. This season started & we are seeing that bright illumination of winning to light our way to the promised land of the PO’s & whatever light is at the end of tunnel.

Just a pause to further brighten our day.

Speaking of mental, which isn’t a strong point around here lol, Dillon Dube taking a leave from the Flames to attend to his mental health, as you mentioned….Flames are a train wreck.

Jake Guentzel (and Crosby) would be a nice addition, a 1st, Podkolzin and Kuzy. If the Canucks can continue to get secondary scoring I think they can beat some of the bigger good teams in their conference. I like how Allvin is shaping this team. Speed, depth, bigger dmen and scoring.

Don’t be such a hater…..

And the most important ‘truculence’

Not a big fan of the rental. Rather they continue to look for good value on younger players that can contribute beyond this season. Plus, I still think their focus should be on defense, defense, defense.
- bloatedmosquito

I prefer someone that would be here for 4-5yrs more older 25-29 in their prime. Add to this wagon for the now & a few more years. By then the farm should be promoting prospects after drafting/developing properly. Feed the system for sustainability.

Nice too I’ll see the PP come through last night especially after that shorty given up. They had 19 shots in the third but it didn’t feel like it, they got most of them in the last few minutes being down 2 goals mostly shots from the outside.

Brock Nelson is the perfect target for 2C. 6 mill hit for 2 years. I bet Kuz Pod and a pick gets it done. Just don't wanna use the 1st so I'm not sure

I like Stephenson for the right price as a UFA. Get him or not he is one of many.

Don't see anyone talking about Demko letting in a few over-glove softies again last night. I know he's a butterfly goalie but man he goes down to his knees faster than a $2 whore.
- bloatedmosquito

I’ll give him the giraffe screen on the Willy but the Willy 2 was a bit of a muffin even though deflected.

Fair assessment. After that 3rd leaf goal I was on the phone selling everyone. Just yelling at the TV.

I am liking Aman in the last couple of games TBH. He is doing fine but the idea is to go to the next level.

JR in the past as everyone knows has made big moves before TDL so with this promising team I see him (PA) going all in to take a shot at the cup.

- VANTEL

Agree he’s fitting in nice but also agree his lack of scoring & offence isn’t offset enough by what else he brings especially for the PO’s. Another 2C so he’s a depth C if needed.

Windows open and close quickly when you don’t have a stellar farm system, it’s time to go for it. I agree though, a center is better than a winger.

I imagine quite a few people were surprised Kuzmenko was in the game last night. Like I said, aside from a scratch here and there, he's going to play until the timing and return is right for a trade. They are not desperate to simply get rid of him.

I was more pissed off at people moving around and standing up while play is going on they weren’t there to watch the game they were there for the occasion, you won’t see them till the next indeginous night.

Hmmm well that’s a cheery rumour.

We finally draft a RHD early that we clamoured for seems forever. A GM cannot fall in love with every player.
Willander on all accounts skates & plays a smart smooth game. Offence nothing to write home about. Can Canucks give that up for Lindholm? Guess it boils down to is Lindholm that key piece to go over the top? Quite possibly. Fills a 2C need & good 200’ 3-way RS C. Still in his prime & really no warts. Last Q is would he resign & at what price? What would that mean to the cap especially OEL 4m+ kicks in 2 & 3yrs. Other dominos gotta fall sooner or later.
