Complications and needs surgery. Season ending unless a Dman gets injured then full recovery immediately.

Ok if that’s the case still no to Vatrano. Rather Henrique the better player & versatile. Friedman up for depth unless D Petey is somehow ready for PO call up. |

Don't remember any of those guys sitting out until the playoffs to make cap space for trades they made during the regular season.

Eriksson was pulled around trade deadline 2017 and 2019 playing only 48 and 50 games . In 2020 he played 20 games giving the team again cap room . Traded the following year.
Poolman played 40 games his first year and stunk put on LTIR was tried again the following year ,played three games and then declared unfit to play. He was unfit because he was lousy at hockey.
Pearson was put on LTIR and Hughes was furious because he knew there was nothing wrong with him and it was a cap move. Pearson was traded the following year when Canucks knew he would not go on LTIR again.
They didn't sit out until the playoffs because we didn't make the playoffs, but they did sit out with no real injury so we could see other prospects play.
I also called the Sutter LTIR in 2017 and the guy with the eye problem back in the Gillis days. It is part of what hockey teams do now.
As far as my record goes though I am right on five of them and maybe missed on five . Not bad at all. |

You are building a conspiracy around injuries.
Pearson was absolutely injured. In the summer I was listening to someone talk about working with him through rehab and how bad the injury was on Kipper's show. The controversy about his injury was about how it was handled, not him being forced to play along with a fake injury.
None of these players were magically healthy all of a sudden for the playoffs obviously. Maybe there was some stalling over the cap but thats far from what you've been saying....
As far as you record goes.... 5 in dozens wouldnt be good at all and your 5 correct are anything but... 2 at best and even those are stretched. |

My last comment on this is cap does not magically appear. Teams need to get creative. You can believe if you want that every player ever put on LTIR is legit, I don't . Canucks need to create cap room and probably want to do it before the rush of TDL. Someone has to be put on IR.

I don't believe every player ever put on LTIR is legit. Those kinds of projections are just how you debate. Or like projecting what you think Hughes is thinking and treating it like a fact to back up a theory. Do you read minds?
How about we revisit this later. I think he'll be back when he recovers during the season and you think he's on LTIR for the season and magically healthy for the post season.... |
