I think the best thing is to run with this team and see how things play out and make moves after the season. This gives more time to Patrick with this team as well.

Lou is not blowing up this team for any one player. That would be stupid. Best case scenario....Mayfield goes to LTIR and we use that $$$ to sign a rental. Wally & Holmstrom stay till end of season. This is a new team with a new voice. They sent down the guy with the least upside. Give it a few more games....I think we're gonna like what we see. I trust the people close to the team know more than the experts here.

I am usually for moving picks and prospects for established players. At this stage I would like to how Roy manages a healthy squad. Let him start tweaking things at the draft. Roy could also be that free agent draw some believe we are lacking.

One thing is for sure is he had this team playing more complete games.

I agree. I'm fine with moving picks and prospects for the right player. I think with the Cap and the prospects not being great, I would like to sit tight and let things play out.

I think Patrick and his style and coaching will hopefully help in terms of FA's. We can say it should just be about winning, but having fun and players being able to put up good numbers is important to many players.

If Roy can get Engvall to be more physical and aggressive on the puck, he'd be dangerous. Not holding my breath, but that would be miraculous.
