Love the player but I do think we need to move him as we I dont see us re signing him with Backs and Kadri on the books. He will get us a 1st and an A prospect or a young NHL player the organisation likes.

Probably not a 1C where we will pick but this draft looks to be pretty good and if they cant re sign Lindy you cant let him walk for nothing.

Agreed. And it might not come from a 1 year tank. Might take 2 year and getting as many 1st and 2nds as possible to hope 1 hits right. It's not looking like a lot will come out of the next 2 drafts that have elite ceilings. Very good, sure. But not top end for a couple years. That's not to say one or two can't break the mold, just nothing is a "wow" prospect coming thru. Even Celebrini is being questioned as wow now by the top evaluators. He's still the best, but not sure if he would be a top 3 in most drafts.

Unfortunately, it might be the wrong year to start a rebuild for the Flames. If I were the org, i'd start trying to collect as many 1sts as possible for the next 2 or so years and hope scouting finds a hidden gem. Odds are you're not gonna get many this year... But there could be some in future years to grab. Hoard them now.

I say screw Treliving and the Leafs, last guy they should be trying to help. I’d rather see Tanev traded to anyone else.
