Don't need anymore of you Americans here anyways, bad enough putting up with the non-stop verbal diarrhea from the many Albertans here.

I'm working as a consultant in Oil & Gas, for a Canadian OG company, in the United States of America. I have never physically worked less and been paid so much, I'm cashing in 30 plus years of experience in completions and commissioning of new and existing facilities.

USA...USA...USA...

PS: I just do that to get on Marwood's nerves, he's such a free loader!!

I had seen how it started and it was just a poster saying here's a name I would like to target. He repeated it three times and others hopped on board.

Today NHL Rumors threw the name Lindholm out there. As you know it's a bunch of Twitter people throwing out their wish list.

Oscar Sundqvist was someone the Canucks were rumoured to be interested in, in the summer time. Signed a cheap deal with STL. With STL falling out of the playoff race, interested could be re-ignited. Not really a good 2C though.

Alex Wennberg since Van likes Swedes, free agent end of the year. Young with potential Morgan Frost.

What's wrong with Canadians? Why doesn't Allvin like our Canadian boys?

Yeah dude I have some investment opportunity here with a few friends that have started their own companies billing out YUGE dollars. Might jump on it. They said by the third quarter of this year it may peak so giving it a hard look. Good on you for your consulting glad it is working out.

As far as Marwood goes when the govt handouts run out and his Vagina gets a bit sore he could always watch the PWHL as well.

Jenner is Canadian. Morgan Frost is Canadian (I don't know if he is liked by the Canucks or not). Joe Veleno also Canadian would be a name if Detroit is interested in giving Van another win.

Doesn't bode well for the Nucks in the PO's with little to no CDNS...

In for 20 out for 20 isn't exactly accurate. The guy has missed maybe 20% of the games over his entire career.

Wins face-offs, physical, plays both directions well. Signed to a good deal. Plays hard. Quality PK numbers.

IMO, I don't think he is a good 2C, If I had to put him there, I'd put him near the bottom of 2C in the league.

He is a player that is going to cost too much or too little. If you know what I mean.

- manvanfan

He didn't miss many in the first half of his career, so far, but in the past few seasons he's missed a lot.. I'm with Makita, your idea is stupid.

Connor Garland on his fight with Dakota Joshua: I accidentally undercut him, reaching for a puck. I'm small out there, and I play small. I sit low towards the ice. I got under his legs, and he went over the top, and he didn't know who it was. So he was running at guys, and he was upset. And it was me, and he ended up getting me with a good slash. So I just snapped, and it's silly because there's a lot of media, and that makes it around on Twitter.

He's obviously one of my good buddies, and we sit together on the plane and chat a lot. I don't think we've talked about that since.

Those are just unsubstantiated rumors, also, are you trying to purposely slight the great Steve Yzerman?

That's correct, those last two were just spit balls of possibilities.

Steve could see fit to help the Canucks out one more time if he was a true Canadian.

You did it again, you're not fooling me bubba.

But yes, if a lateral move for Stevie Y, that move helped him in other areas, helps the Canucks like the Hronek deal...I'm all for any help he can provide.

It helps your organization stay relevant longer, but, even if you draft lights-out you're still going to have to face a rebuild at some point. In the past nine full seasons Tampa's went to the finals four times, starting in 2015, and they're still a competitive team. That's a good run!! The Canucks were good for about six and half years and then fell off a cliff.

Tampa experienced a lot of losing before they got good though, a common theme among good teams.

Ya, all teams have to do a rebuild/reset at some point. Just works out that way: you become a victim of your success after a while. Just saying, the opportunity cost to get a younger/solid top 6 C on a great contract might be really high at first, but that path may be better than throwing fewer picks at every TDL that may add up to more over time/adding $$ term.

I wouldn't be against them trading for him, basically even if it was a bit above market rate... I think Allvin has built up some trust here if he went that kind of route

I still think that Sundqvist is the option Canucks might look at the most, because he was signed in Pittsburgh when Rutherford was there.

Went for a 4th round pick last year from Det to Minny. I'd offer Josh Bloom and Kirill Kudryavtsev.

I would spend assets and draft picks, including a first, to get what you needed right now as long as it doesn't affect the current NHL makeup too badly. Like moving Garland, less is more, in his case. (trade his ass)

As I just said above, don't wussy-foot around, go out and get what you need. Window is open. Trade a first round pick if need be.

Thank you, yeah a bit of an exaggeration on his games, but 20% is a lot of games. I hope Allvin is looking for a younger player that would fit into the 2nd line, Jenner of 5 years ago. As teams fall out of contention there might be a good fit for a younger player (22-27)

It's probably going to cost quite a bit.

I think I'd rather pay the price for someone like Florida paid for Sam Bennett over what the NYI paid for Horvat. Gonna have to bet on a bit of upside though.

Which was a 2nd round pick and a player drafted in the 2nd vs a 1st round pick, player drafted in the 2nd and a roster player. Horvat is a better player, that should go without saying but to clarify.

Fast-paced practice today.

Some great battles between The Lotto Line and the Joshua-Blueger-Garland line today in this five-on-five, full-ice drill.

These lines are really challenging each other.

Yeah I think Canucks already have a first and a second line. I would look at upgrading Aman. A shutdown tougher center added.

I like Pius Suter. I consider Kuz and Mikheyev as a line that can use an upgrade. One of them should be on the move. I consider them the third line and I would like a guy like Anderson who has speed and toughness. Mikheyev and a prospect for Anderson.

I am always open for a little Corey Perry entertainment also.
