If he wants to talk winning he has to make that choice to stay & be a part of the answer. PA has shown he can do roster building after the digging out from a hand dealt by JB.

So I can see 4-5yrs at say 11-12m & get 1 last big contract after or straight into 8yrs for 12m give or take.

It’s only our distraction & there is truth to it what it means to PA making more all in trades with window fully open. Certainty on cap space now & later has to be a huge part in anything happening.

Again I think it will get done but I am not 100 percent on board with the numbers. I know how good he is but if it takes control of how your team will pay a price for the next short term then I am open to looking at other options. It worked nicely for Winnipeg this year.

We will see how it plays out. PA probably at his defining moment with this negotiation. Better to get it done in the offseason so less distraction for Petey & focus on the ice like he has all season. If done sooner I hope is a team friendly so can keep some wiggle room for PA to work with going forward. Term will be the key cuz the money will be huge one way or another.

Next years roster will be similar but everyone won’t be back the cap math makes that obvious. Then PA has his 2yrs of stagnant cap $’s after OEL’s 2 big buyout years hit. So many variables & different cap challenges. That rambling aside my money is on ‘All in Allvin’ for this season & lots of meat for us to chew on.

Idk if CBJ would roll the dice on Kuz & it’s only a change of scenery bet. In Roslovic he came off as head case when a Jet wanting & thinking he was 2C material. CBJ doesn’t get any buzz so no clue if he has matured.

It wouldn’t be much of a gamble for the Canucks & would squeeze another 1.5m in cap space. It might take a lil sweetener cuz cap gaining doesn’t come free.

Still fixated on Pinto but if he’s shopped it’ll be a bidding war.

Sens have had such a disappointing going backwards season when pundits saw them rising. Something there has to be shooken up & the young core needs more vets to stabilize them. Untouchables Tkachuk Stutzle & Sanderson are some very nice pieces. Deep on LHD just not getting the results. In net is a mess.

Playing hardball. This is nothing more than tossing things at the wall and seeing what comes up. I like twisting the cap and seeing possibilities so this is nothing more than having fun. I do believe Canucks will sign Petey and Hronek but what if they didn't qualify them and wait and seen what was offered. They have the option of matching in the event of an offer sheet. They can see what comes down the pipe trade wise.

I like both players and think Mik Kuz and maybe even Garland get moved in the summer to fit the overblown price we will pay, but what are the possibilities? Only bottom feeders can afford a 12 mil offer sheet so would they sign?

PA has a great poker face and says the right things, but I have a feeling he is not a pushover when it comes to negotiations.

If Guentzel comes in and is a 30 goal guy at 9 mil that is a hell of a lot better than 12 mil. They could even give JG the number 40 so they can keep the Lotto Line name.

If that’s the rumour or starting price no thx. Imo all in this season looks like it arrived sooner than later. That’s getting a UFA for only 1 PO run at a high cost of a top asset we have very few of. A big swing at the fence might be more of a gamble & less of a smart move. Cup or Bust sounds great but no guarantee.
