Tage took the 7.1 with a slighty higher PPG and with 38 goals in 78 games.

Be nice if Mitts took aboot the same. Add in some inflation

Mitts shouldnā€™t be making more than 6

Yeah 20 is too long, 15 is even long but the ice gotta cure and the fans gotta spend their money on nachos
- DirtyDan

18 minutes leaves time for some entertaining on-ice shenanigans (or to let some little hockey players have a moment they wonā€™t forget) before the zambonis come out to resurface the ice.
If they eliminated that stuff they could get it down to 15 minutes or less.
But then that leaves less time for everyone to buy some concessions during intermission. So 18 minutes it is for intermissions (because they realize 20 minutes is just too long )

Just trade Skinner and you can fit him easily.

Who wouldnt want a 40 goal scorer amirite?

- DirtyDan

Yeah cause there's probably 4 Teams that could actually afford him right know.

We could have had Reinhart and Ullmark for the price of Nylander.

Thank god Adams our awesome GM escaped that train wreck.

Ostlund was robbed of the Tournament All Star team wow.

At the very least, this tournament allowed people to see the talent he has.

Was a very raw prospect when drafted but his 200 foot game is very appealing.

Sebastian Aho lite.

Excited to see him get over to North America

Make a deal with Casey Mā€¦. If he can still only do 1 chin upā€¦ then he signs a long term contract for 1 millionā€¦ I will go as high as 6 full chin ups for 6 million per yearā€¦ if not, trade him for the best option possible. Of course anything between 1-6 chin ups is paid accordingly šŸ‘šŸ˜ƒšŸ™šŸ»

If they want Reinhart, they are one of the few teams who can afford him in a few months time

Win one, lose two or three. That formula has got to stop. When you can't even win with the black uniforms anymore, you know this season is bad. Someone has got to light a fire under their ass that stays lit for more than one game. I am really surprised anyone even pays to see them play anymore.

Guy was the best player in the entire tournament but didnā€™t even make the tournament all-star team.

Leonard is a heck of a prospect as well.

This might be one of the best teams the U.S. has ever sent to the WJC.

I think 11 of them can return next year too so they have a chance to repeat.

Ostlund snapped his stick on the crossbar after he lost that battle. Got bullied then poutedā€¦heā€™ll fit right in with the Sabres.

Like many of the European prospects, Ostlund needs to put some weight on.

If you didnt come away impressed with the player after watching him for 7 games, Iā€™ll agree to disagree.

One puck battle doesnā€™t take away from a dominant tournament.

Been durr dunn datt:

At the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championships held in Helsinki, Nylander led the Swedish team in points with four goals and five assists.[20] Team Sweden finished fourth at the tournament.

Nylander was also chosen to represent Sweden at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championships.[21] Nylander led Team Sweden to the silver medal in the 2018 World Junior Championships where he had 1 goal and 6 assists in 7 games. He was also awarded Player of the game.

Fair point,

Jack Quinn in his lone tournament went from 1st line to 13th forward the year Canada won gold.

In the grand scheme of things it is a U20 tournament and it doesnā€™t guarantee future success.

Ostlund looked good, weā€™ll see how he carries it forward in the second half of the SHL season and I look forward to seeing how it translates to the AHL playoffs if Rochester is able to go on a run again this year

Hopefully Jost or Robinson wonā€™t block Ostlund or Savoie in Rochester.

And we spent the summer thinking roster spots were blocked in Buffalo šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚.

I like Mittelstadt more than most and have for a while, but they need to move him and get an ass-kicking, faceoff 3C in here to change the complexion of the team.

Trade Mitts for a top-4 dman. The Sabres have cast their lot with Tage and Cozens as 1 and 2 C

What id do personally is bridge Mitts.

If you need to give him $7M per to get him on a 3 year deal, I do it all day.

Mitts helps you win now, can bridge you till when Savoie/Kulich/Ostlund are ready to make meaningful contributions.

A spine of Tage/Cozens/Mitts is a luxury that not many teams can have (when all three are playing up to their standards).

The Sabres have more than enough assets to acquire a top 4 d-man, and to that, I am disappointed in Adams being incapable of doing so.

The fans resorting to moaning about the work of the amateur staff and the drafting and development of a prospect pipeline 30 other NHL teams wish they had is not the answer

Having a luxury of good young talent is a good problem to have.

If you have a top 9 that is loaded with talent that itā€™s tough to see where all your young talent fits in, that is also a good problem to have.

Canā€™t say we have had those kinds of problems the last 12 years have we ?

Feel the changing of the guard yet ?
