Guys on the USA SVK broadcast spent a minute raving about Rinzel, called him the best defensive defenseman in the tournament. - scottak
Yeah, I was surprised how well his play compliments when surrounded by better players.

Can't wait to see Nazar in a Blackhawks sweater feeding Bedard like this. - BetweenTheDots
A number of posters were complaining about Bedard trying to beat three opponents and a big reason is his linemates can’t keep up to him. On many rushes you can see him looking around for an option and nobody is with him. A Nazar, or a stop gap like a Stamkos not only provides Bedard with someone who can keep up, but a guy who is able to deal with unpredictable passes and situations. |

Mrazek will start again for the Blackhawks tomorrow. Soderblom needs some extended time working with Jimmy Waite. |

Actually said that if there was a Norris in the world jrs, he would be the leading candidate.
Said he just makes every play you are looking for in a shut down defender.
Spend the next two years getting stronger and we just may have something. Lots of angst when that pick was made.
Would make a Mrazek trade back to Toronto even more humorous.

You do know what will come next?
Fans will get concerned about him not signing his ELC.

This sucks for Dach, went into concussion protocol, shouldn't that guy get suspended - BetweenTheDots
Dach did the same thing to the other guy before he got waylaid.

Maybe just maybe KD has a clue. Nazar, Rinzel, Misiak, Gajan playing well in the tournament, sounds like Nazar is leading the tournament in assists. |

Wouldn’t Toronto love to have the problem of lots of defensive prospects especially ones who can defend.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall when “Little Nappi” and his staff are trying to decide which 6 defensemen should be on the Blackhawk roster.

Lots of us thought he had a clue but there are still lots of aspects of building a team and the breaking it down and collecting prospects was the easy part. |

If Dach does have a concussion, is that #3 for him?

Didn’t Stan draft the majority of them?
Allen scored his first pro goal last night, but Rockford lost in a shootout 5-4. |

Guys they give up could be the other team's choice to get back what KD wants. Everybody has scouts. |

Yes. All except KK and Rinzel.
Gajan was a coach's decision tonight according the official website of the WJC. Wanted him well rested for the QTRs.
Moore took Gauthier place on the top line because Cutter was sick.
Just passing the info along. |

Not sounds like. Nazar is leading the tourney in assist.
And he the best US player at 5 v 5 according to the stats. 2nd best player in the tourney, actually |

Yes and no, of course he has a ways to go. Where i disagree is if you can't see talent you wouldn't have a bunch of jr players performing really well in the tournament or their respected leagues. Or 2 first round picks performing well in the NHL. Well 1 Bedard was a no brainer but to be honest draft night i was worried he might not draft him. |

TBF, when you have 10 4th line FWDs, do the lines really matter? |

What do Jimmy Waite, Jack Skille, Cam Barker, Everett Sanipass, Mikhail Yakubov, Pavel Vorobiev, Evan Brophy, Mike Blunden, Bill Sweat, Mark McNeil, Ian Mitchell among others have in common? All Blackhawk draft picks who played in the WJC well in their junior leagues and who had less than stellar careers. Yes the current crop of Chicago Blackhawk draft picks look good but so did many of the guys listed at the time. Don’t count our cards before they’re hatched. |
