My guess is Levi plays tonight and then they paper transaction him to Rochester and use UPL Saturday and Comrie Sunday
- Hank Balling

You're probably right becaue Kevyn is afraid to make an easy decisions. Assuming no more injuries, within a week or so, they have to make 2 player moves.

Eventually I think they waive Comrie and Robinson while keeping Girgs, Olofsson and Jost.

I would rather they keep Robinson for the 4th line with Okposo and Girgs and waive one of Olofsson/Jost. Both stink so i don't care. But I think Kevyn will take the easy way out and waive Robinson because he hasn't been in the country club long enough. Girgs/Okposo have lifetime memberships so neither of them are going anywhere. And Kevyn wouldn't waive Olofsson because it would make him look like a fool for signing him to a $4.75 million contract.

Yeah, Jost and Comrie are easy choices imo.

Wouldn't care if either get claimed.

This team loves playing short term games though so I won't be surprised if they play games with Quinn and Levi to remain compliant

Thought he was decent and provided some much needed energy. Plus Thought him and Krebs were gelling a bit.

Probably falls on Granato. Couldn't see him wanting to bring in a guy on his staff that would instantly be more favoured by the fan base.

Guy would have far less job security IMO.

I agree though the coaching staff could use Peca back there. They all suck.

Do you really want to see another Comrie start that bad? Think it's time. Well, way past time, but time for KA to act.

Easiest move at F is to waive Robinson. Would be really lame, but expect it.

Girgs is a leader in a locker room where men adore other men. His presence completes the collective allowing them to be direct and decisive when they realize compete is needed. That's all.

Feels like KA is hoping for a an injury to keep pushing these token bottom of the lineup decisions out as long as he possibly can.

They do it nearly every time. There are any number of silly ways they can get around making a real decision

ATW has Ted Nolan on, very interesting story about Pat Lafontaine leaving and Pegula informing him and the team what happened. He doesn't give details but lays it out that Pat left because Terry wanted to tank.

Nolan then gives a great response to believing tanks do work.

Around the 24 minute mark.

They do, but we've reached the point where those options are much more difficult and have no on-ice impact. Who sticks anyone to get scratched every night is so meaningless in the big picture.

Agreed on all counts. If Levi looks good tonight then it'll make it any easier decision to waive comrie.

Otherwise we may enter month 18 of Adams saying "carrying 3 goalies isn't ideal" as if that situation is somehow completely out of his control while Levi gets sent down and called up daily

After the NHL trade deadline, teams only get four regular call-ups from their affiliates for the rest of the regular season.

More than that. Didn't they carry 3 all year last year, and then 4 at the end?

UPL was in Roch until Comrie got hurt in November. Comrie didn't return until January. Guess I don't call it 3 until Comrie was healthy, the minute UPL claimed #1 the clock was ticking.

From December to the end of the season Adams was focused on:

Trading Laaksonen for Cecconi, then Bloom for Stillman, then Portillo for a 3rd round pick which he used to draft his neighbor, gave away Bjork, traded Priskie for Strand, traded a 2nd and a 5th for Greenway, then traded Asplund for a 7th.

All this was completed while part of his NHL team were having career years...can you explain why he was focused on the AHL?
