People act like this is a beer or rec league where players can just be great no matter what.

Sure as hell doesn't work that way.

- kingcong39

No, and that's why Boston, Tampa, NY, Dallas are always around the top. There Organizations are very good at having Mentors and doing it the right way.

I wouldn't be surprised if those requests don't start coming Adams way after new years, what would you sell off at the deadline? Who would you wait to trade in the offseason?
- washedup20

Can I sell off the entire coaching staff and the GM?

Company A has a strong structure of support in place for new hires.

Company B just sits new hires at a desk and tells them to figure poop out the best they can.

Company B is the Sabres.

Agreed

I’m more disappointed in the “stars”

Tage, cozens, power

These core guys are just average so far…..

Power looks completely lost

- Boss34

Completely understandable to be disappointed in the stars Boss, but completely and totally inept coaching and team management is a massive issues.

How many top notch companies have poopty bosses and horrendous upper level management?

How many quality players are we going to hammer as subpar, only to watch them be traded to quality, well run organizations, and then play to their level of talent?

The list of the above is troubling, and should reveal the real core issue.

Are the Sabres even run like a Company. It is a Beer league to Adams.
Good Companies don't sit on there hands and watch very good product walk out the Door for a Decade and not make changes to there strategy especially losing 30 to 40 mill a year.

The sad part, which should open everyone’s eyes, is Kane choose Detroit over the Sabres…all this potential and a guy who just wants to play said no.
- washedup20

They based their big offseason move on a player who wouldn't even be ready until 2 months into the season, and a player who could say no to their interest.

Priceless planning!

Funny he did a lot of rehab work in Buffalo, got to watch this Sh!t show on Ice up close. And watch Adams do nothing as his Team sank deeper and deeper. Why wouldn't he want to sign somewhere else! 🤔

If Terry is motivated by money, making the playoffs is the most lucrative path in the NHL by a mile.
We are about to park 6+ million of worthless talent no one wants in Rochester, maybe more to come.
At what point does Terry pull the plug on this GM?
To quote King Henry, “The Sabres are not in a rebuild but are playing like they are. No accountability for bad defensive play”

Pegula is making money Hand over Foot with his Sports Teams. He's getting hundreds of millions just from the New NFL TV Deals and that doesn't even include Revenue Sharing. And as bad as he has driven the Sabres into non existence, he still is gonna walk away making 7-800mill in profit if he sells. If his pockets were hurting this Sh!t Show wouldn't be happening.

He's really developing and progressing nicely.

If he and one other of their defense prospects can turn out well, it would make a massive difference.

Of course, none of that matters without competent leadership from management and coaches.

Until they get the above, nothing will matter.

Peters is hearing the players are saying Granato's confidence is missing. Total mess behind the curtain under Adams.

Think that Curtain got ripped down when SirFallsAlot tripped coming out of the BathTub after the Contract signing late June at Adams house.

Touche, the next 6 games against wild card competition, who is going to be the 1st one to crack in Buffalo?

Blue Jackets
Senators
Canadians
Penguins
Kraken
Senators

I think we see 3 season ending injuries (injuries that allows players to quit), a blow out, and 3 losses where the Sabres have the lead but give it up late in the 3rd.

Adams has slow played himself into the worst GM under Terrys reign. He has allowed compounding implosions to destroy any resemblance of a hockey team.

Under Adams we have experienced 2 of the worst NHL products on ice in the history of the game, and both were unintentional. The tank teams had more fight in their game than rosters assembled under Adams.

The more that comes out about the skeleton front office compiled of first timers who would never even get an interview for another NHL organization erodes any attempt to begin to even find a solution.

We have seen front office plans fail, we have seen coaches fail, we have seen players quit, national broadcasts still call Buffalo out as the embarrassment of hockey, and 0 push back from anyone in the front office...the only response by the GM was when his own player called out the soft organization.

I hope someone is writing a book on the billionaire who is annually making history as the worst sports owner in the history of the game.

Really looking like a devastating move letting Peca leave. Think it's worse than when Me You and Lunaion talked about it and why.
