For Willy i’d look for one of three things.
1) A legit 1D. Someone noticeably better than Rielly. Also someone younger. Because any trade they make they have to think about building a team that can compete for decades.
2) A power forward. They don’t need to put up as many points necessarily, but they must be a menace to play against, especially in front of the net.
3) A package deal. The future must be the focus here. Prospects, picks, players on their ELC’s. I’m starting to worry they’re going to mortgage the future and make bad decisions to try and win now. Minten and Cowan are a great start, but they have to keep building on that. If PIT had more Guentzel’s and fewer Karlsson’s, Croz and Geno would be in a position to win more cups, and not go out on a bad note.
