I think wheeler has steadily looked better and better there. The focus for any addition need to be center. I know you agree with that, just saying if it’s one guy we get over anything else it should be a center. Meaning we probably can’t get both. Unless it’s a super cheap guy. Still holding out hope that Othmann gets a look somewhere down the line

I believe so, but I think it was more so because the management swore up and down that they weren't gonna do a rebuild. However once they traded him, Kane knew he was being lied to the whole time.

The problem is how long can Wheeler keep this play up? Can he make it through the year? Can he make it through the playoff grind? I dont think so.

We will know at the deadline whether we have 3 dollars or 7m in cap space.

Unless theyre coming back in the next month or so, theres no reason to keep with the shenanigans and just pull a ‘Kucherov’. Get whatever rentals and assets you can at the deadline with the space we have, then bring back Kakko and Chytil in the playoffs where the salary cap is null and void.
